Huslia is a village of 265 people located on the north bank of the Koyukuk River in Alaska, about 290 air miles west of Fairbanks; there are no roads so people fly in small planes or use boats, snow machines, ATVs, and trucks; the primarily Koyukon Athabascan residents live in log cabins and the area is home to wildlife like eagles, ravens, loons, moose, and ducks along the Koyukuk River and surrounding lakes.
