5. PENGERTIAN AURAT
Aurat (Bahasa Arab: )عورة merupakan istilah Islam yang
melambangkan sesuatu bahagian dari anggota badan, samada
lelaki ataupun perempuan, yang haram dibuka atau dipamerkan.
Dalam erti kata lain sesuatu anggota badan yang wajib ditutup dan
disembunyikan dan haramorang bukan mahram melihatnya.
Menutup aurat adalah wajib ke atas setiap Muslim, tidak kira lelaki
atau perempuan. Kewajipan menutup aurat ini berdasarkan kepada
dalil-dalil daripadaAl-Quran dan Hadis.
6. Makna Jilbab dan Busana Muslimah
Secara etimologi, jilbab adalah sebuah
pakaian longgar untuk menutup seluruh
tubu perempuan kecuali muka dan
telapak tangan. Dalam bahasa Arab
jilbab dikenal dengan nama khimar, dan
dalam bahasa Inggris jilbab dikenal
dengan nama veil. Selain kata jilbab
untuk menutup bagian dada hingga
7. Pakaian adalah kebutuhan hidup sekaligus cermin perilaku kita.
Pakaian yang baik adalah pakaian yang diridhoi oleh Allah SWT. Berikut
adalah pesan Rasulullah SAW dalam memilih pakaian yang baik:
Pakaian yang dikenakan bersih, longgar (tidak ketat), tidak tembus
pandang, dan menutupi aurat;
Tinggalkan pakaian yang mewah walaupun kita mampu
membelinya. Utamakan sikap tawadhu (rendah hati);
Rasulullah SAW suka memakai gamis dan kain hibarah (pakaian
bercorak yang terbuat dari bahan katun);
Untuk laki-laki, Rasulullah SAW melarang menggunakan pakaian
berbahan sutera dan emas;
Jangan menggunakan pakaian yang terlalu panjang, apalagi hingga
harus diseret (terkena lantai). Untuk laki-laki, Rasulullah SAW
melarang pakaian yang menutupi mata kaki untuk laki-laki karena
kesombongan;
Untuk perempuan muslimah, panjangnya hingga menutupi telapak
kaki, dan kerudungnya menutupi kepala, leher, dan dada;
Untuk lelaki tidak berpakaian seperti perempuan, demikian juga
sebaliknya;
Tidak memakai pakaian yang bertambal atau yang lusuh, karena
menurut Rasulullah, Allah senang melihat jejak nikmat Nya pada
hamba-Nya;
Mengutamakan pakaian yang berwarna putih, karena Rasulullah
juga menyukai warna itu.
8. Dalam tata cara berpakaian secara umum, ada
beberapa hal yang dicontohkan Rasulullah SAW:
Berdo’alah ketika akan berpakaian. Salah satu contohnya adalah:
“Alhamdulillahil ladzii kasaanii hadzat tauba warozaqqoniihi min
ghoiri haulin minna walaa quwwah“, yang artinya: “Segala puji bagi
Allah yang telah memberikan pakaian ini kepadaku sebagai rizki
daripada-Nya tanta daya dan kekuatan dari-ku”;
Berdo’alah ketika akan mengenakan pakaian baru. Doa yang
dianjurkan adalah: “Allahumma laka al hamdu anta kasautani hi.
As’aluka khairahu wa khaira ma suni’a lahu, wa a’u dzu bika min
syarrihi wa syarri ma suni’a lahu“, yang artinya: “Ya Allah bagi Mu
segala puji, Engkau telah me¬makaikan pakaian ini kepadaku. Aku
mohon kepada Mu kebaikannya dan kebaikan akibatnya. Aku
berlindung pula kepada Mu dari kejahatannya dan kejahatan
akibatnya”;
Disunahkan memakai pakaian dari sebelah kanan terlebih dahulu;
Berpakaianlah dengan rapi dan indah disesuaikan dengan tempat,
tanpa berlebihan dan tidak dipaksakan;
Disunahkan melepaskan pakaian dari sebelah kiri terlebih dahulu.
10. 1. Dihadapan mahram (saudara lelaki
rapat), seseorang wanita itu wajib
menutup seluruh badannya kecuali
kepala dan tangan.
11.
12. 3. Aurat dihadapan sesama wanita bukan
Islam menjadi perdebatan. Sesetengah ilmuwan
menyatakan wajib menutup seluruh anggota badan
kecuali muka dan pergelangan tangan. Sementara,
sesetengah ilmuwan lain berpendapat aurat
perempuan muslim kepada bukan wanita bukan Islam
ialah sama ketika mana mereka berada dengan
sesama wanita Islam
13. 5. Aurat dihadapan lelaki yang tiada pertalian
tidak kira Islam mahupun bukan Islam
adalah menutup seluruh anggota badan
kecuali muka dan tapak tangan. Tetapi
terdapat ilmuwan berpendapat, muka
adalah aurat.Isu ini berlarutan termasuk
yang sudah berlalu dan sedang berlaku,
adakah ia hanya keafdalan atau hukum.
Muslim Salafi percaya
bahawa jenazah wanita dihadapan lelaki
ajnabi dan yang tiada kaitan persaudaraan
dengannya adalah seluruh badan termasuk
muka dan tangannya
14. 6. Aurat ketika solat ialah
wajib menutup seluruh
anggota badan kecuali muka
dan tapak tangan

dan Ibn Majah]

“Sesungguhnya sebilangan ahli
neraka ialah perempuan-
perempuan yang berpakaian tapi
yang telanjang yang condong
kepada maksiat dan menarik
orang lain untuk melakukan
maksiat. Mereka tidak akan
22. Bismillaah..
Pakaian merupakan nikmat agung yang telah Allah
anugerahkan kepada hamba-hamba-Nya, supaya mereka
menutup aurat mereka dengannya. Kemudian, Allah
menambahkan kenikmatan tersebut dengan
menganugerahkan ‘riyaasy’ (pakaian indah) sebagai
perhiasan. Allah Ta’ala berfirman yang artinya, “Hai anak
Adam, sesungguhnya Kami telah menurunkan kepada
kalian pakaian untuk menutupi aurat kalian dan pakaian
indah untuk perhiasan. Dan pakaian takwa itulah yang lebih
baik. Hal itu semua merupakan ayat-ayat Allah, supaya
mereka berdzikir mengingat-Ku.” (QS. al-A’raf : 26).
Oleh karena itu, seorang Muslim hendaknya memperhatikan
ada-adab yang berkaitan dengan pakaian, diantaranya :
23. Wajib menutup aurat
Menutup aurat merupakan adab
mulia yang diperintahkan dalam
agama islam. Bahkan,
seseorang dilarang melihat aurat
orang lain, karena hal tersebut
dapat menimbulkan kerusakan,
dimana syariat menutup semua
celah terjadinya kerusakan.
Rasulullah shallallaahu ‘alaihi wa
sallambersabda, “Janganlah
seorang laki-laki melihat aurat
laki-laki lainnya. ….” (HR.
Muslim, 338) Jumhur ulama
mengatakan bahwa aurat laki-
laki ialah dari lutut hingga pusar
24. Mengenakan pakaian
sederhana Hendaknya seorang muslim meninggalkan
pakaian mewah dan mahal. Hal ini dapat
menjauhkannya dari sifat sombong, dan
menjadikannya dekat dengan orang-orang
sederhana dan miskin. Selain itu, Allah akan
menjauhkannya dari sifat suka berfoya-foya,
serta perasaan iri dan dengki dari sesama
muslim. Rasulullah shallallaahu ‘alaihi wa
sallam bersabda, “Barangsiapa meninggalkan
suatu pakaian dengan niat tawadhu’ karena
Allah, sementara ia sanggup mengenakannya,
maka Allah akan memanggilnya pada hari
kiamat di hadapan seluruh makhluk, lantas ia
diperintahkan untuk memilih perhiasan iman
mana saja yang ingin ia pakai.” (HR. Ahmad,
dan Tirmidzi, lihat Silsilatul Ahaadist ash-
Shahiihah : 718)
25. Memulai dari sebelah kanan
Ummul mukminin,
‘Aisyah radhiyallahu ‘anha berkata,
“Rasulullah shallallaahu ‘alaihi wa
sallam suka mendahulukan bagian
kanan daripada bagian yang kiri
ketika mengenakan sandal, bersisir,
bersuci, dan dalam semua urusannya
(yang mulia).” (Muttafaqun ‘alaih)
Imam an-
Nawawi rahimahullah mengatakan,
“Kaidah dalam syariat bahwasanya
disunnahkan memulai dengan kanan
dalam semua urusan yang berkaitan
dengan kemuliaan dan keindahan. ”
(Syarh Muslim : 1/3/160)
26. Memakai pakaian Putih
Pakaian berwarna putih lebih
baik dari pakaian berwarna lain,
walaupun itu tidak
terlarang. Rasulullah shallallaah
u ‘alaihi wa sallam bersabda,
“Pakailah pakaian berwarna
putih, karena pakaian berwana
putih lebih suci dan lebih baik.
Kafankanlah jenazah kalian
dengan kain putih” (HR. Ahmad,
an-Nasaa’i, dan selain
keduanya, lihat Shahiihul Jaami’
: 1235)
27. Tidak mengenakan
pakaian syuhrah (sensasio
nal)
Dikatakan pakaian syuhrah karena pakaian
tersebut membuat pemakainya menjadi
pusat perhatian, baik karena jenis pakaian
tersebut sangat mewah, atau sangat
berbeda dengan kebanyakan orang, atau
pakaian tersebut sudah sangat lusuh dan
compang-camping, atau pakaian tertentu
yang dipakai agar menjadi terkenal.
Rasulullah shallallaahu ‘alaihi wa
sallam bersabda, “Barangsiapa memakai
pakaian syuhrah, maka Allah akan
memakaikan pakaian yang serupa pada hari
kiamat nanti. Kemudian, dalam pakaian
tersebut akan dinyalakan api Neraka.” (HR.
Abu Dawud dan Ibnu Majah, lihat Shahiihul
Jaami’ : 6526)
28. Tidak memanjangkan pakaian hingga
melewati mata kaki (isbal)
Hadis-hadis yang melarang isbal
(bagi laki-laki) sangat banyak,
bahkan mencapai batas
hadismutawatir maknawi. Hadits-
hadits dalam masalah ini
diriwayatkan dari banyak shahabat,
seperti : Ibnu Abbas, Ibnu Umar,
Ibnu Mas’ud, Abu Huraira, Anas,
Abu Dzar, dan selain
mereka radiyallahu ‘anhum
ajma’iin.
29. Tidak memakai emas dan
pakaian sutra
Emas dan pakaian sutra haram
dipakai oleh kaum laki-laki, tetapi
boleh bagi kaum wanita.
Rasulullah shallallaahu ‘alaihi wa
sallam bersabda, “Emas dan sutra
dihalalkan bagi kaum wanita dari
umatku, dan diharamkan bagi
kaum laki-laki.” (HR. Ahmad dan
Nasaa’i, lihat Shahiihul Jaami’ :
209)
30. Tidak menyerupai
pakaian orang kafir
Diantara sikap yang seharusnya dimiliki
seorang muslim ialah berusaha menyelisihi
setiap urusan orang-orang Yahudi,
Nashrani, dan orang-orang Musyrik (hindu,
budha, dan selainnya). Penyelisihan ini
mencakup juga penyelisihan dalam hal
berpakaian.
Rasulullah shallallaahu ‘alaihi wa
sallam bersabda, “Barangsiapa yang
menyerupai suatu kaum, maka ia termasuk
golongan mereka.” (HR. Abu Dawud,
Syakh al-Albani mengatakan, “hasan
shahiih”)
31. Tidak menyerupai wanita
Disadari atau tidak, perkara ini telah
tersebar di zaman sekarang ini. Kita
banyak mendapatkan sebagian
pemuda yang menyerupai kaum wanita
dalam berpakaian, berhias, dan
memilih warna. Padahal, perkara itu
merupakan perkara yang dilaknat oleh
Allah Ta’ala. Rasulullah shallallahu
‘alaihi wa sallam bersabda, “Allah
melaknat wanita yang menyerupai laki-
laki, dan laki-laki yang menyerupai
wanita.” (HR. Bukhari 5885)
Beliau juga bersabda, “Allah melaknat
laki-laki yang memakai pakaian wanita,
dan wanita yang memakai pakaian laki-
laki.” (HR. Abu Dawud dan Hakim,
lihat Shahiihul Jaami’ : 5095).
32. Bersyukur dan
mengamalkan doa-doa
yang berkaitan dengannya
Segala kenikmatan yang diperoleh oleh
seseorang merupakan karunia dari
Allah Ta’ala semata. Demikian juga
dengan pakaian, dimana hal tersebut
merupakan kenikmatan yang sangat
agung, juga merupakan karunia dari
Allah Ta’ala. Dia Ta’ala berfirman yang
artinya, “Hai anak Adam, sesungguhnya
Kami telah menurunkan kepada kalian
pakaian untuk menutupi aurat kalian dan
pakaian indah untuk perhiasan. Dan
pakaian takwa itulah yang lebih baik.
… ” (QS. al-A’raf : 26)
41. Menutup aurat adalah kewajiban agama yang
ditegaskan dalam Al Qur’an maupun hadist
Rasulullah SAW.
Kewajiban menutup aurat disyari’atkan untuk
kepentingan manusia itu sendiri sebagai wujud kasih
saying dan perhatian Allah SWT terhadap
kemashlahatan hamba – Nya di muka bumi.
Kewajiban bagi kaum mukminah untuk mengenakan
jilbab untuk menutup auratnya kecuali beberapa
golongan .
Dalam Q.S al – Ahzab / 33:39 ditegaskan perintah
menggunakan jilbab dan memanjangkannya hingga
ke dada , dengan tujuan untuk memberikan rasa
nyaman dan aman kepada setiap mukminah .
42. Hadis dri Ummu Atiyyah berisi anjuran kepada
setiap muslimah untuk menghadiri salat Idul Fitri
dan Idul Adha meskipun sedang haid atau dipingit .
Sementara yang tidak memiliki jilbab , dia bias
meminjamnya dri saudara seiman .
Allah SWT berfirman dalam Q.S an – Nur / 24:31
untuk menjaga pandangan , memelihara kemaluan
, dan tidak menampakkan aurat , kecuali kepada :
suami , ayah suami , anak laki – laki suami ,
saudara laki – laki , anak laki saudara laki – laki ,
anak lelaki saudara perempuan , perempuan
mukminah , hamba sahaya , pembantu tua yang
tidak memiliki hasrat terhadap wanita .
