INTRODUCTION
 The personalized system of instruction is a self
learning technique which emphasizes
individualization of instruction
 PSI was develop by F.S Killer plan
 In PSI there is no class room teaching at all
normally student will be utilizing the classroom for
individual students test talking and clearing doubts
only
PSI PERSONAL
PSI Teacher
1. PSI teacher is the leader of this course
2. PSI teacher works as a manager and observer of the
course
3. He creates a co-ordinal and co-operative atmosphere
in the school
PSI Instructor
1. He designs the course of instruction
2. He helps PSI teacher in preparing written material
Proctors
1. Proctors are those students who are relative the
bright ones among the group of learners
2. They are given necessary guidance and training
for supervising and guiding learning path of their
low learners
FEATURES OF PSI
• PSI is a mastery oriented learning technique
• Self paced study technique
• It uses an few learners to stimulate and motivate
students
• It used print study guide to communicate
information
STEPS IN PSI
• Teacher introduce the procedure of killer and
motivates students to follow the procedure.
• Students are given a unit along with a study
• Each students learn at his own pace proctors help
them to clear doubts
ADVANTAGES OF PSI
• PSI can help the learners to work independently
• PSI students can learn at his own pace
• PSI helps to increase self learning habits
• Increase positive attitude towards learning
• PSI provides opportunity for interaction with PSI
personal
LIMITATION OF PSI
• This method is very difficult to the teacher for
preparing study guide and material
• Students show tendency to post pone learning
because there is no compulsion
• Lack of course material, resources guide, test
materials etc.
• Proctors are not easily available in the present
teaching learning environment of our school.
