COMPARISON OF 1G TO 5G TECHNOLOGIES
COMPARISON BETWEEN 4G Vs 5G
The following basic differences between 4G and 5G are:
Hardware & Software of 5G
 5G Hardware:
• Uses UWB (Ultra Wide
Band) networks with
higher BW at low energy
levels
• BW is of 4000 Mbps,
which is 400 times faster
than today’s wireless
networks
• Uses smart antenna
 5G Software:
• 5G will be single unified
standard of different
wireless networks,
including LAN
technologies, LAN/WAN,
WWWW- World Wide
Wireless Web, unified IP
& seamless combination
of broadband
• Software defined radio,
encryption, flexibility,
Anti-Virus
Features of 5G
• High resolution for crazy cell phone users
• Less traffic
• 25 Mbps connectivity speed
• Enhanced & available connectivity just about the
world
• Uploading & Downloading speed of 5G touching
the peak (up to 1 Gbps)
• Better & fast solution
• More attractive & effective
Advantages of 5G
• Data BW of 1 Gbps or higher
• Globally accessible
• Dynamic information access
• Available at low cost
• Support interactive multimedia, voice,
streaming video, Internet, and other
broadband services ,more effective and more
attractive ,Bi directional ,accurate traffic
statistics.
Applications of 5G
• Wearable devices with AI (Artificial
Intelligence) capabilities
• 5G i-phones
• Pervasive (Global) networks
• Media independent handover
• Radio resource management
• VoIP (Voice over IP) enabled devices
Tactile internet: 5G,IOT and the Cloud
• Using the Internet to control autonomous
robots performing human surgery.
• 3G is very attractive and advantageous
• Users get high quality services like excellent sound quality
,fast mobile internet connection, video calls
• 3G uses UMTS which yields to existing GSM networks that
exist in almost every small city & village, thus the change of
equipment & software connected with material cost that’s
why only big companies are able to affordable
• 4G is set to available around 2010,with the 1billion users
around world
• Users can expect low cost per data bit,as well as speed &
reliability
ADVANTAGES AND
DISADVANTAGES
• 4G and NGN’s are becoming fast and very cost-
effective
• Service providers are in search of migration to all IP
network ,a more expected to lower high speed data
costs like 3.5G or even 4G,5G
• WWWW (wide wireless web) started from 4G
technologies
• 5G should make an important difference and add
more services and benefit to the world over
.
wireless systems becoming an important
infrastructure in our society, network and
internet field. In this paper, it is briefly
introduced the history background of 1G to
5G,A virtual global system is a good solution
that can efficiently connect many dedicated
