3. The software I used the most for the planning stage for my coursework
was Microsoft PowerPoint, as this software is very easy to use and
allows you to input images and text and further edit your slides to
make them more exciting. I found it was very effective as it would
easily embed and is compatible with blogger.com where all my
coursework is published.
I used an online software called Scribd which enabled me to embed
my presentation software onto my blogger account. This is a new
skill I have learnt as I didn't know you could embed a power point
presentation to use on different media platforms.
I also used more interactive presentation software's such as Powtoon,
Emaze and Wideo which are very similar to PowerPoint but are
more sophisticated and makes the presentation more appealing. I
also found these presentation software's effective as you could
embed them.
5. The hardware I used for my construction stage was an SLR camera to take
images for my magazine, from past experience I already knew had to use a
Canon SLR camera so it was easy for me to take professional images using
lighting effectively to create a good image. I found the camera effective as
the quality was clear and crisp which helped me create a more
professional magazine, because if I used my phone the quality would've
been bad.
The software I used for the creation of my front cover and contents page is
called Adobe Photoshop CS6 which is excellent software for manipulation
of images. At first I found it very hard to use Photoshop as the software is
sophisticated and requires a little initial training but it didn't take me long
to understand the features. I found that Photoshop was effective as I
created a professional magazine.
The software I used for the creation of my double page spread is called
Indesign. I used a double page spread template and inputted the text and
image on to it which was very straightforward. The technique I found hard
was creating a blur effect on the image to create a blur effect onto the
second page but with perseverance I found the right tool.
