 The speed of the boss is the speed of the
team
 A manager is the leader of his group and the
organisation is his lengthened shadow
 Patience is a virtue and is very much essential
when you are managing employees
 A manager must have the courage to face
problems and solve them
Understand the Pygmalion effect to
empower your employees
• An strong belief about something. Whatever
you think about the people they also think the
same for you.
• A good boss believes in his employees can,
and must start taking and making as many
decisions as possible- starting with small ones
and gradually coming to bigger ones.
Build the self respect of your
employees
• Develop a bond between you and your
employees, a relationship of friendship,
equality and brotherhood. How:
– When you find your employees are doing
something right catch them and acknowledge it
openly
– Give them security, training, money, challenge, job
satisfaction and above all RESPECT like you expect
from your boss
– Be the example of self discipline in front of them.
Forgive your employees mistakes
gracefully
• An American saying “ Even
the chairman’s pencil has
eraser on it” means he
also can make mistakes so
it is useless to think that
your employees are
perfect.
Important Ideas to manage your
employees
• Try to bend your employee’s mind:
– Minds are the assets of organisation so that they
must be shown in the balance sheet. Now it’s
manager’s task to bend the mind of his employees
towards organization.
– The act of management is to create a dynamic and
productive organization out of a group of ordinary
men and women
• Remember :- you buy your employee’s time,
make sure that this is properly utilize by them
Effective Communication with your people
is the open sesame
• Information for the organization is like food to
body, so for getting right information follow
them:
– Learn how to listen
– Learn to tune in to your employees
– Learn to write
• Avoid putting round employees in square holes
– You can lead a horse to water but you can’t make him
to drink unless you motivate him properly
• Motivate your employees by way of
motivation
• Solve your employee’s problems
• Inspire your employees to think
• Cure your obnoxious employees i.e.
Handle a difficult employee with care
• And Lastly : YOUR EMPLOYEE’S SUCCESS
IS YOUR SUCCESS.
