I am Ashish Jain, currently graduate student at Department of Civil engineering, Purdue
University, West Lafayette, USA. I am originally from Jodhpur, India. Being a frequent traveller &
enthusiast, I visited lot more places around globe but still got a little chance to explore heaven of
my own country. Though there is no connection with civil engineering to Photography. I am a
published photographer and My work in portrait and nature photography have been recognized
by Chicago Art Museum, USA.
For the past seven years, experiencing nature and photographing her beauty has been my form
of relaxation and spiritual fulfillment. I am largely self taught in the photographic arts. My belief is
that art is in every one, the only thing we need to explore it.
I can’t think of a single photographic journey in which I haven’t learned some further nuance of
the light and how it interacts with the world around me.

8. Iʼd rather be broke down and lost in the wilds of Big Bend, any day, than wake up some morning in a penthouse suite high
above the megalomania of Dallas or Houston.

11. We wake at dawn to discover the
desert hills shrouded in rolling clouds
of vapor, seeming remote and
mystical as the Mountains of the
Moon. A rare and lovely sight and we
are sorry to leave. We console
ourselves, as we always do, with the
thought that weʼll be back, someday
soon.

19. Walking through
the The gypsum
dunes is an
unforgettable
experience; often
there are no other
footprints ahead,
just wind-created
ripples and
occasional lizard
tracks.
