•Pencil, Eraser and

3. Step 1: Silo Siding
Using a pencil and ruler
draw 8 vertical lines
going across red piece
of construction paper.
Each line should be 2”
apart for a total of nine
spaces.
6. Silo Siding Continued
When black painted has
dried go back with red
paint on the side of
each red strip.
Let completely dry.
7. Silo Siding Continued
When red marker has
dried go back with a red
marker to outline the
stripes of red paint.
8. Silo Siding Continued
Siding for the silo will
be finished with a white
color pencil.
Outline the edge of the
red marker with a white
color pencil.
9. Step 2: Silo Roof
Use a large lid like the
type found on an ice
cream container and
trace one circle on black
construction paper.
Use scissors to cut out.
10. Silo Roof Continued
With a white color
pencil draw 4 lines
intersecting evenly
through middle of circle
creating 8 even “pizza”
spaces.
Use black paint again to
create an “A/B” pattern.
Let completely dry.
11. Silo Roof Continued
Once dry go back with a
white color pencil to
outline each painted
slice and add any extra
details.
14. Assembly Continued
Cut a small slit along
one of the slices for roof
to roll into cone shape.
Glue cone edges
together and then
attack to top of silo.
16. Step 4: Animals
User pencils to sketch
out details that will be
attached to silo.
Color pencils and
markers will be used to
fill in objects.
Each silo must have at
least 2 farm animals.
17. Step 5: Finish
To finish glue
accessories to outside
of silo and hang from
ceiling.
Straw or Easter basket
grass can be used in
place of cotton for
smoke coming out
rocket to better fit with
the theme.
