INTERSECTING CIRCLES
Materials
•11” x 17” White
Drawing Paper
•12” x 18” Black
Construction Paper
•Color Markers
•Color Crayons
•Ruler
•Small Yogurt Cup
•Pencil, Eraser and

Sharpener
Step 1: Pencil Lines
Draw a total of 10 lines
across white paper.
Each line should start at
the top and end at the
bottom.
No Lines should be
touching the sides of
paper.
Step 2: Circles
Trace a yogurt cup a
total of 6 times across
paper.
Make sure circles are
spaced out to balance
out the image.
Step 3: Marker Outlines
Using color markers
begin to outline all
pencil lines.
Marker Outlines Continued
When outlining keep
alternating colors so
that colors do not touch
themselves at any
point.
Marker Outlines Continued
Take time when
outlining and go back
over to make sure no
lines have been missed
with marker.
Step 4: Color Crayons
After each line has been
outlined with a marker
begin to use color
crayons to fill in white
spaces.
Color Crayons Continued
When coloring make
sure like colors do not
touch just as with
markers.
Also make sure that the
color outlining each
space is not used to
color in that same
space. So if the outline
is blue the inside should
not be blue.
Step 5: Finish and Frame
When finished go back
over image and make
sure no spaces were
missed.
Mount on a black piece
of construction paper to
frame.
