and color.

Balance
Balance the distribution of
the colors, texture and space
of the visual object in art.

KINDS OF BALANCE
a) SYMMETRICAL BALANCE – the illustration used on
one side of the design is repeated on the other side.
b)ASYMMETRICAL BALANCE – the sides are different
but still achieve balance.
c)RADIAL BALANCE – the elements are arranged
around a central point and may be similar or
repeated pattern.

EMPHASIS
Emphasis is the principle in
art that catches the viewer’s
attention. It can differ in
size, color, texture and
shape.

HARMONY
Harmony is the principle of
art that brings together the
compositions with similar
units.

UNITY
Unity is when all the
elements of art
combine to make a
balanced design.

VARIETY
Variety is the combination
of all the elements of art to
increase the interest of the
viewer.

PROPORTION
Proportion is the relative
size and scale of the various
elements that relate with
each other.
