Health Score is a mobile iPhone
app that will provide users with a
Score based on a test of
questions generated from
healthfinder.gov information & will
act as a guide to maintain basic
health and prevent diseases. We
hope Health Score will become
the new norm for being healthy.


Daily audio tip using the healthfinder
Healthbeat.

Celebrity health news streaming.

Test questions based on nutrition, physical
activity, mental health & doctor visits.

Score will be out of 100.

Will track old scores by date, name, gender
& age in a graphical format.

Ability to create health score circle and to
view scores of others in the health score
circle.

Users can invite family & friends to join the
health score circle.

User will have the ability to tweet the score.

3. Test

Questions will be presented
with multiple choice answer
selection.

Hint screen information from
healthfinder.gov to get user to
navigate healthfinder
information.

Based on healthtechhatch
feedback this screen will also
include:
− fun audio for
applause when
answer is
correct and a
ding when the
answer is
wrong. Also will
include audio to
prompt user to
look at the hint.
− Tools to
measure how
healthy the user
is.

4. Test Results

Enhancements to the result
screen based on
healthtechheatch feedback
will include the following:

Score will be presented
graphically.

Score will be linked to some
type of rewards.

User will have the ability to
share the score only within
the health score circle. Also
the ability show age only of
the users chooses to.

Prompt user on next steps to
improve score by highlighting
one of the four areas of
Nutrition, Physical Activity,
Doctor Visits or Mental Health
that need more focus.

Presenting a comparison of
the score to other users of
the same gender and age in
the app community. Users will
also have the ability to turn
this feature off.

5. Nutrition
The “Nutrition” link will have the
following features:

Diet information to prevent the
top five health problems of heart
disease, cancer. diabetes,
obesity & disorder of the GI tract.

Tips for better eating on a
budget.

Recipe finder.

Ability to share tips & recipes
through email, Facebook &
Twitter.

6. Doctors Visits
The “Doctors Visits” will have the
following features:

Healthfinder widget to provide
recommended routine
screenings.

Find a doctor.

My family health history. Users
will be able to email this to
themselves, other family
members, physicians etc.

Checklists of questions to take
for doctor visits.

7. Physical Activity & Mental Health
The “Physical Activity” link will
have the following features:


'Get active' widget here to
guide users on how to be
active.

Find walking/running groups
near by.
The “Mental Health” link will have
the following features:

Daily quotes from favorite
authors, poets etc.


8. Today's Tip

Today's Tip functionality would
send a daily push notification to
the users on different topics
related to health and nutrition.

On accepting the notification,
the daily podcast could be
downloaded or listened online.

This podcast is integrated with
healthfinder's Healthbeat.
