• Two hotspots in four Barangays affected by lack of income due to
strict enforcement of health protocols during the pandemic
• ISP agreement covered installation and maintenance of solar
powered wireless system to relay signal; training provision to 24
“WiFi Custodians” to operate the system, and voucher system
• Four community organizations manage operations with income
generating services (printing and scanning), with USD3,000 in
revenue over 10 months, distributed to local funds according to
policies formulated by the community organizations
• Working area with solar-powered lighting encouraged students
working on on-line classes and research activities to use the system
• 1000+ people benefitted in 10 months (including 690 school children)
