 It isone of the largest Internet-based retailer.
 Amazon started as a book store but soon diversifiedin
mobiles, tablets, TV etc.
 The company was founded in 1994.
 In 1994, Bezos left his employment asvice-president of D. E. Shaw &
Co., a WallStreet firm, and moved to Seattle. He began to work on a
business plan for what would eventually become Amazon.com.
 Jeff Bezos incorporated the company as "Cadabra" on July 5,
1994.Bezos changed the name to Amazon a year later after a lawyer
misheard its original name as "cadaver".The company went online as
Amazon.com in 1995.

 Bezos selected the name Amazon by looking through the dictionary,
and settled on "Amazon" because it was aplace that was"exotic and
different" just as he planned for his store to be; the Amazon river, he
noted was by far the "biggest" river in the world, and he planned to
make his store the biggest in the world.
Amazon now has nearly 154,100
employees worldwide.
Amazon's net income amounted to 92
million U.S. dollars.

innovative, groundbreaking things, and those
things aren’t easy”
 “Work hard” are the first two words of the company motto.
 An oft-repeated line from Jeff Bezos , the founder and chief executive,
calls the company culture “friendly and intense, but if push comes to
shove we’ll settle for intense”.
 But at the end of the day this sort of working culture pays off.
 “If you work for an influentialtechnology department at Amazon, it is a
fantasticplace to learn whatit means to launcha business from the
ground up– from the inception of an idea to getting a public launch
across the finishline.”
 “You’re always going to have opportunities to grow within the
company. You have agreat way to gain experience through mentor-
ships. Amazon hasa very casualwork environment.”

 A phone interview with the Recruiter, Hiring Manager, someone from the business
orsomeone from oneof their agencies.
 A written exercise.For more seniorroles they’ll ask you to write a fewpages in
answerto a question. You’ll do this before your interview and they’ll use it as part
of the evaluation process.
 Face-to-face panel interviews with a numberof Amazon Managers.They’ll invite
you to a hiring day on-site where you’ll be interviewed by people like Hiring
Manager,HR and Recruitment. This stage may call for some prepwork or testing. A
further telephone interview may follow.
 As a new college graduate or intern,I can havemultiple
opportunities to innovate and solve real-world, complex
technicaland business problems.

  • 2.  Amazon.com,Inc.isan American electronic commerce andcloud computingcompany with headquarters inSeattle,Washington.  It isone of the largest Internet-based retailer.  Amazon started as a book store but soon diversifiedin mobiles, tablets, TV etc.

  • 4.  The company was founded in 1994.  In 1994, Bezos left his employment asvice-president of D. E. Shaw & Co., a WallStreet firm, and moved to Seattle. He began to work on a business plan for what would eventually become Amazon.com.  Jeff Bezos incorporated the company as "Cadabra" on July 5, 1994.Bezos changed the name to Amazon a year later after a lawyer misheard its original name as "cadaver".The company went online as Amazon.com in 1995.

  • 7.  Bezos selected the name Amazon by looking through the dictionary, and settled on "Amazon" because it was aplace that was"exotic and different" just as he planned for his store to be; the Amazon river, he noted was by far the "biggest" river in the world, and he planned to make his store the biggest in the world.

You’ll do this before your interview and they’ll use it as part of the evaluation process.  Face-to-face panel interviews with a numberof Amazon Managers.They’ll invite you to a hiring day on-site where you’ll be interviewed by people like Hiring Manager,HR and Recruitment. This stage may call for some prepwork or testing. A further telephone interview may follow.
