This document provides information about the Metronet Information Literacy Initiative (MILI). MILI aims to improve information literacy skills among teachers and students. It does this through professional development for teachers and library media specialists on integrating information literacy standards into classroom teaching. MILI's goals are to influence the teaching of research, increase awareness and use of Web 2.0 tools, and encourage more collaboration between teachers and library media specialists on teaching the research process.
