Adjective is a describing word, the main role of which is to qualify a noun or noun phrase giving more information about the object specified. Aim: The learner,  Develop the ability to identify the word ‘adjective’  Develop the power of imagination and creativity, through this lesson template  Develop the ability to build sentences with qualifying words  Develop the ability to analyse qualifying words Teaching learning materials: charts, pictures etc
  2. 2. Class room procedure Assessment Informal interaction Teacher engages in an informal interaction with the students to warm up the class. Entry activity Teacher creates a rapport with them to create a mental readiness in them. Link talk Today we are going to learn a new concept named ‘Adjectives’. What is adjective? Do you know? Our school is very beautiful, isn’t it? Yes we have a beautiful garden. There are a lot of flowers in different colours like yellow, pink, red etc. Listen children. We have to move on our concept. Shall we? Presentation Teacher present a chart contain certain pictures including a football ground or a park. Pupil interact with the teacher Pupil listens carefully and responds actively Pupil recollects their knowledge and trying to answer the questions.
  3. 3. What do you see here? What are they doing? Who is playing there? Teacher asked certain questions related to the picture Comprehension The teacher asks the students to be in group and make simple sentences from that picture like, What did that boy doing? Who hit the ball?(the questions are related to the picture and the answer will be adjectives) Presentation by the pupil The pupil trying to answer her questions like The tall boy hit the ball The fat boy ran from the ground Facilitation by the teacher Teacher showing some picture with their description and help them to find out the qualifying words. Scaffolding questions As part of the facilitation teacher asks question and ask them to find out the Pupil curiously listens to the teacher and answers the questions actively. Students formed groups and make sentences. Each group presents their answers.
  4. 4. qualifying words Follow up The students got the idea and present their ideas about the new concept Presentation of the product The teacher ask the students to present the answer of scaffolding question Correction/editing Teacher corrects the answers if any error occurs. Activity time Teacher ask them to find out more adjectives by giving root words like Building,man,etc Pupil listens carefully and asks their doubts. Pupil answer the scaffolding questions They present their own ideas. Students presented their answers. Listens careful Actively participated in activity.
