What is Personal Branding about
●   Personal branding describes the process by which individuals
    and entrepreneurs differentiate themselves and stand out from
    a crowd by identifying and articulating their unique value
    proposition, whether professional or personal, and then
    leveraging it across platforms with a consistent message and
    image

                                As Tom Peters, the father
                                of Personal Branding said:
                                 We are CEOs of our own
                                companies: Me Inc. To be
                                   in business today, our
                                most important job is to be
                                   head marketer for the
                                   brand called You.
1. Make students aware of the
concept of Personal Branding
●   What is Personal Branding
●   Why is it important in today's world
●   How does it affect me
●   How can it benefit me
●   How to start and develop myself
    into an unique brand


    Ways to motivate students
    to make use of the concept
2. Developing the Right Framework
so that Personal Brands can evolve
●   Module Personal Development/ Self-Improvement
        –   Identify strengths/ weaknesses
        –   Improve strengths/ reduce weaknesses
        –   Identify major characterizing attributes
        –   Improve emotional intelligence
        –   Become aware of real talents and passions
        –   Compare image with identity and analyze the gap
        –   Help the student to get to know him-/herself in order to be
            able to work and improve him/her


    e.g.: offer modules, workshops, seminars
2. Developing the Right Framework
so that Personal Brands can evolve
●   Create a professional environment
●   Employ lecturers from different businesses (and business
    functions), so that these can bring along their field-experience
●   Bringing students in touch with companies and inspirational
    professionals
●   Provide projects which will furnish students with knowledge and
    experience (ideally projects/ researches which are really
    needed by companies/ institutions)
●   Guide students to develop into one certain direction (specialize)
    so that these ultimately become young professionals in one
    specific area
2. Developing the Right Framework
Opportunities and possibilities
●   Provide many different possibilities and opportunities for
    students in order to create many different paths for them to
    develop, differentiate from each other and become unique
    personal brands
        –   Additional optional courses
        –   Change the study so that students can specialize in
            certain areas
        –   Offer many possibilities for networking (students from
            other faculties, students from other universities,
            professionals, companies)
        –   Get involved in different organizations, competitions,
            activities which will be supporting for students
3. Bringing all together
●   Finally, analyze the path which has been taken and combine the
    acquired skills and the personality and the major attributes to
    create an unique personal brand
●   Develop an unique selling proposition and a resulting personal
    brand statement
4. Efficient communication of the
              personal brand
●   After the development of the personal brand, decide on the
    target audience(s)
●   Decide on the proper communication channels

       great influencing phase in his/ her life.
