4. INTRODUCTION
English has become the most important international
language. English is a compulsory subject in
Bangladeshi majority schools and colleges. In spite of
that, the majority of the students are not enough expert
in English, especially in speaking. Students use English
more frequent only inside the class room and less
frequent outside the class. They still do not have enough
encouragement to practice English outside the class .
This problem students have difficulties to communicate
in English.
5. WHY ENGLISH IS VERY IMPORTANT
Language is the only way by which we can express our
emotions, thoughts, desires, ideas, feelings etc. English
is that language which is spoken by many people..
Whenever we want to know what is happening on the
other side of the world we get the news in English only.
So, It is very important to know the English language.
6. WHY STUDENTS OF OTHERS COUNTRIES
SPEAK BETTER ENGLISH
• English is mother tongue
• They are the native speakers of English language
• Educational system & environment
• They know huge vocabulary
• They have basic idea of grammar
• They practice more and more
7. WHAT ARE THE PROBLEMS OF SPEAKING
ENGLISH
• Listening :
Remember that when you’re having a conversation, you’re
only talking about 50% the time – the other 50% is spent
listening to the other person speak. If you don’t understand
what the other person is saying, it’s difficult to reply.
• Vocabulary:
Sometimes when you’re speaking English, you have a
sentence in mind, but you’re missing two or three important
vocabulary words – and then it becomes difficult to say what
you’re thinking.
8. WHAT ARE THE PROBLEMS OF SPEAKING
ENGLISH
• Pronunciation:
English words can be difficult to pronounce – and when
speaking English, you have to consider not only the
pronunciation of the individual words, but also the
connection between the words in the sentence.
• Confidence:
If you feel nervous and are afraid of making a mistake while
speaking English, then your problem is confidence. There are
three things that can help increase your confidence.
9. HOW TO OVERCOME THIS PROBLEMS
• First, practice some listening EVERY DAY. All you need is 10-15
minutes per day to develop your listening skills.
• Memorize some phrases that you can use in conversation
when you don’t understand something.
• Learn more vocabulary words! But there’s a good way to
learn new words. The way is to read lists of words and
definitions and try to memorize them.
10. HOW TO OVERCOME THIS PROBLEMS
• There are two things that can help you improve your English
pronunciation. One way is to take a pronunciation course.
Another way to improve your pronunciation is to keep
practicing your listening
• Don’t worry too much about grammar! Just do your best to
communicate, and you’ll often be successful even if you do
make a small grammar mistake.
• practice speaking English as much as possible in low-pressure
situations.
11. CONCLUSION
The classroom can be a effective place to learn English
speaking skill. A regular speaking activity in the classroom can
build students’ confidence and therefore help them to
overcome the challenges. It is important to make clear that
English is a ‘language’ and not only a ‘subject’ to memorize
and pass.
