Introduction Student Page Title Introduction Task Process Evaluation Conclusion Credits [ Teacher Page ] Today you will be a nutritionist. Your job is to “climb” the food pyramid! You must explore and research each section of the food pyramid. Your ultimate goal will be to create an ideal breakfast, lunch and dinner based on the food pyramid. You will also be assigned a group and in your group you will be assigned a food group to research.
The Task Student Page Introduction Task Process Evaluation Conclusion Credits [ Teacher Page ] At the end of your climb you should be able to accurately describe the different sections of the food pyramid. You will also need to provide a completed visual (example: a menu, a poster, or even an actual meal prepared). Once in your groups you will need to research interesting facts, and what foods the group consists of. Title

Teacher Script (Teacher) [ Student Page ] Title Introduction Learners Standards Process Resources Credits Teacher Page This activity is mostly a self guided activity and little instruction is needed outside of the directions posted because of the intent of the project and lesson. The kids should be able to work through their problems since there are very little directions to follow. This lesson is intended for students to grasp a main concept of the food pyramid and for them to experiment with different meals that are healthy and to work as a group. If students are having difficulty I would suggest to encourage them to do what they feel is best and to ask their peers. This page is linked to the Process segment off of the Teacher Page Evaluation Teacher Script Conclusion
