Social Media Marketing for Real Estate
Off late if you log into your accounts on any of the social media platforms, one thing you are
sure to find in abundance are advertisements and invitations to various social campaigns. In
today’s time social media is full of such marketing strategies, and it goes without saying that
they are effective too. All brands, belonging to any field are taking help of the social media
domain to strategize their plan of action such that a proper positioning of their product can be
done along with detailed brand awareness programmes.
One of the less ventured fields is that of the Real Estate. This is one field that has gained
momentum in the recent past. Their presence on the social media has increased and they are
using it to promote themselves largely.
1. Facebook
This is one platform on the social media that has been used the most both by brand managers
and users. Most of the target group can be reached easily on this platform. On facebook social
media marketing is done by the way of many campaigns that are organised by managers to
gain attention of the users. Photo and Video contests are two types of campaigns that get a lot
acceptance and many entrants. If the price being awarded is huge, automatically people feel
an urge to register themselves. Also in these contests not much is asked to be done other than
uploading pictures on a given topic and sharing it with friends to make it viral, updating videos
such that they add an interesting factor to the brand’s Facebook page. Facebook has
undoubtedly given great results and realtors continue to use it as the most powerful tool.
2. Twitter
This is also one platform that is doing well with the brands. Brands are creating trending
hashtags to come into the limelight and achieve greater heights. Vote contests on Twitter
have increased the effect of twitter campaigns to a large extent. Here the realtors upload
pictures of various sites that they are currently working for and users are supposed to vote for
the ones which they would prefer. Once a vote is done a tweet is sent to all the followers of
that brand. It increases the chances of bringing more visitors to your page and eventually it
helps in upgrading the brand’s social media influence.
3. Blogs
Articles and write ups about real estate were at one point of time hard to find. But today with
the advent of social media more and more realtors are blogging about their presence in the
society. Articles generally contain the areas that they are currently working at, the deals that
they can provide and highlight the USP of the place as well as for them. With more people
preferring to analyse and check before making huge investments blogs work in the favour of
these real estate agents. They are effective and build a goodwill about the brand in the market.
4. Tumblr
This is one platform that is very famous amongst realtors, here, they upload good and pleasing
pictures which are then liked by many users. Users follow only those pictures that appeal to
them and those that make them happy. This gives the brand manager a detailed insight on
what the users like, what are their interests and what kind of pictures will benefit them more.
The old players in this field have analysed this concept thoroughly and are doing very well in
the market with the use of these social media marketing strategies and methods.
5. Social Media Monitoring
Social Media Monitoring is a technique by which a brand can know about what its users are
saying on the web. It is a process by way of which a brand gets to know all the mentions it has
across the web. This again adds helps it in analysing its own credibility in the market. Also, one
can keep a tab on the brand’s competitors. Many realtors are looking towards using this
software as a tool to monitor their social media influence and to ensure that they are above
their competitors.
