An emerging trend across industry is - outsourcing maintenance activities to contractors. Maintenance contracts are
being used as an effective tool to manage and control the process of outsourcing aiming at deriving an economic and
efficient outcome from the service provider at the agreed levels of responsibility and performance.
To equip practicing managers and professionals with advanced concepts in managing Contracts, different types of
contracts and their application, learn the features, functions and benefits of Maintenance Contracts and contemporary
practices, the rationality of outsourcing maintenance and efficient management of a maintenance contract.

He is a seasoned Procurement and Contracts Manager with overall 32 years of Industrial experience in India
and overseas. He is a B. Tech. from Harcourt Butler Technological Institute, Kanpur University and a PGDM
from IIM, Calcutta.
He has extensively worked in the areas of Procurement & Supply Chain Management in India and overseas in
countries viz. Singapore, UAE, Qatar and KSA. He has worked for companies like Ballarpur Industries Ltd., The
Associated Cements Ltd., Hero Cycles Ltd., RAK Cement (Lafarge managed), UAE; Shapoorji Pallonji Middle
East, KSA, Oryx Engineering, Qatar. His experience includes Process Industries, Durables and CND, Cement
manufacturing and Construction. He is an expert in managing end to end Supply Chain function including
Purchasing, Planning, Logistics, Warehousing, Contracts, Inventory control and Imports & Exports. Also, He
has been delivering in-house training sessions for various levels of management staff while working as a
functional head in Procurement.
