Number-
The first step in starting your own
tax business is acquiring a
Preparer's Tax Identification
Number (PTIN). This is a number
required for all U.S. Federal tax
returns that were prepared by a
paid tax preparer. This number
will need to be acquired and paid
for every year you operate your
business.
 Electronic Filing Identification
Number-
An Electronic Filing Identification
Number (EFIN) is given to
individuals approved to
participate in eservices with the
IRS. This number allows you to
file returns electronically.
However, you will need to provide
some documentation to receive
approval for this service. Find

 Intermediate Package-This package is for affiliates that have some
experience completing tax returns, but would benefit from the IRS
compliance and e-filing services of America's Tax Office.
 Professional Package- Affiliates of this package must have an EFIN, and
will be responsible for IRS compliance.
 Reseller Package-In addition to operating your own tax business, with this
package, you'll help others start their own businesses through America's
Tax Office, too.
 Premium Upgrade Package-Benefit from the insight of a Marketing Expert
that will provide in-person guidance with this Premium Upgrade.
