1. Treatment
For my two adverts I am creating a make-up advert. The aim of my advert is to
sell my company’s products, under the campaign of Impact Colour. In order to
sell my product I need to attract my target audience of 16-24 year olds, therefore
it needs to be modern and interesting. I will create high impact, energetic
adverts, with fast paced shots using a range of transitions and edits.
Advert 1
Advert 1 is for my first product, which is eye shadow by my company. I will use
lots of close up shots in order to show the make-up effectively, including zooms
and pans across the face. These shots will focus on the eyes on all three of my
models. In the advert the models action will be fairly limited, they will have
straight expressions and will be static. This will create more impact within my
advert. I will contain screens of black and white throughout the advert to give
the effect of it flashing, this will look like a photo shoot. This makes the advert
fun, and different and will also give the make-up a high status. The flashing will
give the advert lots of impact and the fast paced shots make it very interesting to
watch for the target audience. The models will also be filmed on different
backgrounds this will be black or white and will also be wearing black clothing,
this is to keep the attention of the make-up.
I will use a fast upbeat song in my advert to match the action, which will keep the
audience interested.
Advert 2
Advert two is for my second product, which is lipstick by my company. As in the
first advert, I will use lots of close ups, zooms, pans and tilts in order to show the
make-up, the difference is that this advert will focus on the lips. Another
difference in this advert is that I want it to be more fun and less serious.
Therefore the models will be wearing coloured clothing, and their actions are
free, for example the model will flick her hair. The models will be smiling and
look to be having fun, so the audience will associate this feeling with the
products and my company. In the first advert I used the flashing to give the
advert impact, in this advert I am using emotion to do this. For the product itself
I am showing its range of colours, as I will use two different colours in the advert
and giving the impression it is confortable to wear and last a long time, through
the actions of the models, this is a good selling point for my product. This advert
will include lots of edits, for example transitions, slowing down and speeding up
shots and putting different shots up at the same time on the screen either in twos
or threes. I will keep the background colours the same, black and white, as I still
want to keep the attention of the make-up. I will use a fast upbeat song in my
advert to match the action as I have in the first advert. I want to keep certain
aspects of both my adverts the same so they are unified and the audience can see
they are a part of the same campaign.
