This document provides an accomplishment report for school health and nutrition programs in Region IX, Zamboanga Peninsula for the 2018-2019 school year. Objectives:
General:
This policy establishes the guidelines for the implementation of the
School-Based Feeding Program starting SY 2017- 2022. Improve classroom
attendance of target beneficiaries to more than 85% per annum and
encourage learners to go to school everyday
Specific:
a. provide feeding to learners, prioritizing the SW and W; improve the
nutritional status of the SW and W learners and all Kinder in PPAN areas at
the end of 120 feeding days;
b. Ensure 100% deworming of target beneficiaries prior to the feeding
activity;
5. c. Conduct group daily hand washing and tooth brushing activities as
stipulated in DepEd Order No. 10, s. 2016, to impart development of positive
health- promoting values and behaviors; Promote health and nutrition
information and awareness among target beneficiaries; and
d. Encourage Gulayan sa Paaralan Program and backyard vegetable
gardening to augment the feeding program and to complement the
nutrition and poverty-reduction initiatives of the Government
