Verbo To Be (Ser, Estar)




Este verbo es uno de los más importantes en inglés y se
traduce en español por “Ser” y “Estar”. Veamos el presente
de este verbo en todas sus formas: afirmativa, negativa e
interrogativa.
PRESENTE DE “TO BE”


Usos del verbo “To Be”


Usamos el verbo To Be para hablar sobre el estado de algo o
  de alguien. En este caso, siempre está seguido de un
  adjetivo:


               I am happy ( Estoy o soy feliz)
                 He is tired ( Está cansado)
Otro usos de “Be”

También usamos “Be” para transmitir información personal como
  nuestro nombre, edad, nacionalidad y profesión.


                         He is Paul
                      He is 45 years old
                         He is British
                         He is a pilot
También usamos el verbo “To Be” para describir a personas, tanto
  físicamente como su personalidad. En este caso, de nuevo, el
  verbo “To Be” estará seguido de un adjetivo:


                          Peter is tall.
                        They are funny.
