1. PRESS RELEASE
GHL Systems plays major role in servicing the
critical transportation segment in Taiwan
GHL Systems celebrates first successful OEM project with SymLink
Corp Taiwan deploying its award-winning VersaRead VR-300
contactless modules
KUALA LUMPUR, 14 June 2010 – GHL Systems continues
to make waves in contactless payments with their first
Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) project,
integrating their award-winning VersaRead VR-300
contactless module to SymLink Corp’s AS230GT mobile
GPRS and integrated contactless terminal, in a special
pilot project for Taiwan’s taxis.
China Trust Commercial Bank (CTCB) selected SymLink’s AS320GT handheld GPRS
contactless terminal to be deployed by Taiwan Taxi, Taiwan’s biggest taxi company. In
the second quarter of 2010, 7200 VersaRead VR-300 OEM modules were then
successfully integrated with SymLink Corp’s AS230GT Taxi POS terminals and deployed
throughout Taiwan.
The taxi service serve as one of the more commonly used modes of transportation and
it calls for a timely procedure from navigation through traffic to complaisance of
payment. The Symlink AS230GT refines the latter, offering support for cashless
payments to passengers..
VR-300: A stable, efficient and practical solution
Incorporates the latest Contactless (RF) Technology
Accepts payments to all recognized contactless standards
Enables fast transactions with ease of customization and integration
Wide compatibility with a large range of leading POS and ECR hosts systems
Ease of integration with all leading brands of terminals: Hypercom, Ingenico,
Verifone and PAX.
Globally versatile solutions
“Through our very first and highly-successful OEM project, GHL
Systems has once again demonstrated the commitment to our
partners’ success and also the versatility of our products.
We hope that this will pave the way in which our other products
can be easily integrated with other manufacturers’ products - to
address specific market requirements together, or even introduce
new form factors”, said Mr. Edward Chien, Senior VP of
International Sales at GHL Systems.

2. Mutually beneficial
SymLink Corp’s decision to adopt the VersaRead VR-300 in the building of the AS320GT
was primarily driven by its ready compliance with Visa’s PayWave and MasterCard’s
PayPass contactless standards – thereby providing SymLink a ready and compliant
solution. In doing so, Symlink would also ensure a faster time-to-market for the
AS320GT.
Recognized
A proven, highly stable and recognized contactless reader, the VersaRead VR-300 was
awarded Best Product Solutions Partner by MasterCard Worldwide in 2008. In terms of
efficiency, the VR-300’s read-speed is among the fastest in the world, reading as fast as
300 milliseconds. The VR-300 has also enjoyed deployments across multiple
transportation projects across the Asia Pacific. Since 2008, there have been over 50,000
readers deployed in Asia Pacific alone.
