Shoulder resurfacing is an operation performed for pain relief from shoulder arthritis. The procedure consists of scraping the worn out cartilage at the end of the joint and capping it with a metal prosthesis. It is done through a small wound and the patient can be discharged in one day. It can be done in most cases of shoulder arthritis.
