How to Prototype
Interactive iPad apps
in 30 minutes or less
Using Apple Keynote
Why
Keynote?
During your presentation, you don’t
need to switch to another tool to
show your prototype.
When you email your pitch deck
to someone, you don’t have to
include installation instructions.
The prototype also works on the iPad
without any additional work (and
without writing a single line of code)
Here are the assets I use to create
          my prototypes.

(These assets were all created in Keynote)
Here is how you can create
         your own
1. Plan your screens and transitions
2. Install the iPad Theme file
Downlod this Keynote theme from
http://bit.ly/iPadSlideshare
3. Access Master slides to grab assets from
4. Combine assets* to create app screens

* All assets are editable in Keynote. There are no images
5. Create hyperlinks between slides
6. Export as Quicktime or PDF to test on
          your laptop or iPad
7. Tranfser it to the iPad or send it to
          friends to try out.

Test it with real users.
What does the outcome look like?
Your prototype doesn’t need to be perfect

It just needs to capture the idea behind
the interface and interactions so tha...
