Statue of a
Polish
Soldier in
Katowice.
There are
names of
battlefields

War II
written on
the statue.
It’s one of
the
biggest
and
heaviest
Silesian
statues. It
weighs 80
tones!

stadium of GKS
Katowice, a well-
known sports club.

18. GKS is short
for ‘Górniczy
Klub
Sportowy’,
which means

Sports Club’.

play in Polish
First League.

20. Karpaty, the
highest
mountains in
Poland.

Little Beskids . There is a lake
underneath the mountain.

among paragliders.

Krokiew,
a ski
jumping
venue in
Zakopane.
It is a
regular
place for
the World
Ski
Jumping
Cup.

24. There are many outstanding ski jumpers
in Poland.

25. Welcome to Tatra Mountains. Behind us is the highest
mountain in Poland, Rysy. It’s 2499 metres high!
