Evolution with Digital Branding & Marketing Mix
Marketing is the process or methodology of informing / communicating the value of a product or
service to customers. It is intended or motivated for the purpose of selling that product or service.
The marketing mix is a business tool used in marketing and by marketers. The marketing mix is
often crucial when determining a product or brand's offer, and is often associated with the four
P's: price, product, promotion, and place In service marketing, however, the four Ps are expanded to
the seven P's or Seven P's : people, processes and physical evidence to address the different
nature of services and eventually for digital marketing there should be an eighth P included as
Public (Police or Cop) to regulate them immediately!
Different forms of Marketing
relationship marketing with focus on the customer, business marketing or industrial marketing
with focus on an organization or institution and social marketing with focus on benefits to society.
New forms of marketing also use the internet and are therefore called internet marketing or more
generally e-marketing, online marketing, "digital marketing", search engine marketing, search
engine optimization, social media marketing, viral marketing or desktop advertising and the
future trend towards responsive and result oriented remarketing.

Brand
Brand creates tangible value. Brand also creates impression or a promise. Thus since brands fulfill
dreams they are related to aspirations and admirations. Thus brands support the feeding system of a
better life, quality and capture the minds and hearts for more power to do something.
The Evolution of Internet Marketing
Remember the traditional way of marketing was based on contacts, connects
and network by socializing and mixing of all kinds of tricks through juggling,
promoting or publicity through advertising, word of mouth advertising,
awareness, meetings and broadcasting through mass media like television,
radio, newspaper or similar network. The problem here was focus and niche
clients were out of sight and sound. Thus there was a need created for
related and relevant traffic for different businesses.
This was rightly addressed by the evolution of internet later in the 19th
Century when PCs, desktops, laptops, mobiles, smart-phones, tabs and
handheld devices changed the whole equation.
Thus the birth of the new era was facilitated by the adoption of technology
for the better or improved society. For some it was a must and for others it
was by default.
The motive or purpose of this evolution can be also derived from the socio-economic
benefits for majority or the better portion.
Hence the brick and mortar businesses looked for the avenues to grow and
followed the internet or became online leaders by adjusting to the
competition which resulted in a fairer way by providing instant alerts,
reports and the final look and feel or the comfort zone as an increment.
Thus rightly said by some leaders that the thoughts application and adoption
can change and reflect the saying I’m’possible is nothing.
The Evolution of Online Marketing
Try remembering when you started up your first website? It was all
glamorous, happening and latest trend, promoting about all the great ways
your organization can help your clients! It was so exciting. I remember
waiting with anticipation as my first website was uploaded across the hosting
servers. I half expected the phone to just start ringing immediately…
That did not happen. In fact, no visitor visited my conversion page of my
website.
The Evolution of SEO
On the evolutionary scale that website was just a single cylinder vehicle or
motorbike which was wading through the treacherous tracks and paths to
glory.
That’s when I realized that people needed to be able to find my website. The
Internet is a big phenomena and confusing place and so people don’t just go
round and around looking for solutions to their problems – it’s not like a
shopping mall, right? So we started to do some optimization for the search
engines – link building and keyword optimization so that Google would love
us and point traffic to our website.
Ah! Now that worked! People started visiting to our website. All and sundry!
We had evolved, we developed at least some primary organs, a mouth to
consume (all kinds of) food. Our website had evolved into a sweet, or
perhaps an watermelon.
Luckily we had easy to find contact forms and so we started getting leads, all
kinds of leads! Leads who came and spent $89,999 with us in 2 and a half
months and leads who wanted to waste our time talking about their terrible
business idea that would never work.
Now the problem wasn’t too much traffic, it was too many conversions or
leads. Too many inferior quality leads! So our marketing problem (no person
is visiting our website) became a sales problem (how are we going to filter
out or convert all these leads). Website leads, that we had been working
harder, now became a pariah, a burden. We needed high quality leads.
The Evolution of Content Marketing
So we started to build more related and relevant content on our website;
articles, videos, infographics, and eBooks that help to empower and educate
those visitors of web searchers about who we are helping and what we are
doing. We work hard for our web visitors to let qualify before they validate
and fill out the form. All that content also helped to develop our online
authority which worked as a bonus for us, around certain keywords thus
helping to shortlist and focus our niche clientele too.
Now since we had grown our eyes, our evolution was a continuous process
so we were segmenting and going for supremacy or opting the best kind of
food for us. We just started hunting.
This was a significant improvement. Leads were generated thus more
qualified – although fewer of them were “tire-kickers” trying to see what
they could get for $299. These were substantive leads, and more of them
were closing. Now this online business development thing was really showing
a silver lining but we still were a bit less active. We just relied on what came
in – we weren’t able to filter the clients although we really wanted to get
work and so go with them.
The Evolution of Social Media
The early or initial stage of Online marketing was confined to limitations of
exact and effective data or reporting hence the marketers came out with a
faster adoption strategy of promoting their project / venture or idea with the
help of social media and gain more acceptance quickly. It can also be said
that the recent or future trends in digital marketing points or tends towards
customized and responsive viral marketing strategy.
So we added social media – now we could create targeted linked lists,
identify where our ideal clients were spending time, what they were talking
about and join in those conversations with them. In those venues we have a
“target rich and niche clientele or environment” (many of the folks in the
conversation could be prospects for us) and we can more easily demonstrate
expertise and invite those chosen prospects to consume our content.
At this point, we have evolved into bona fide predators–seeking out the most
profitable clients, (those that we can make a BIG difference for) and luring
them into our website where we can “nurture” them until they buy from us.
What started as a simple marketing idea (Let’s put up a decorative billboard
on the information superhighway!) has become a very attentive and
attractive process combining a marketer’s analytical skills with a sales
person’s intention of hunting. And that is what makes it so hard to drive
results. So few organizations can find any one person who combines the
marketer’s insight and analysis of the target audience with the sales
person’s hunting motives. Worst is, they have two sets of people or groups
divided as the marketers who lead in generating the leads, and the other set
of sales people who turn those generated leads into results or deals. Both
groups are, in theory, aligned toward getting new business, but both see
that predator in very different ways, and hence they often clash, thus their
efforts are wasted rather than making collaborations. Thus the only secret
way to succeeding in this online business development process is to get
marketing and sales working together to achieve business.
Main Benefit of Telecommuting
Most of the organizations in the brick and mortar or traditional marketing
are nowadays also adopting the online business strategy in order to work
from their home or small-office-home-office. Telecommuting was also
present in earlier days as another form where sister concerns were formed
and would provide support to the mainstream businesses to grow and work
independently. It was also embedded and facilitated by recent and safer
cloud environments thus to return the benefits of corporate governance.

This was a significant improvement. Leads were generated thus more qualified – although fewer of them were “tire-kickers” trying to see what they could get for $299. These were substantive leads, and more of them were closing. Now this online business development thing was really showing a silver lining but we still were a bit less active. We just relied on what came in – we weren’t able to filter the clients although we really wanted to get work and so go with them. The Evolution of Social Media The early or initial stage of Online marketing was confined to limitations of exact and effective data or reporting hence the marketers came out with a faster adoption strategy of promoting their project / venture or idea with the help of social media and gain more acceptance quickly. It can also be said that the recent or future trends in digital marketing points or tends towards customized and responsive viral marketing strategy. So we added social media – now we could create targeted linked lists, identify where our ideal clients were spending time, what they were talking about and join in those conversations with them. In those venues we have a “target rich and niche clientele or environment” (many of the folks in the conversation could be prospects for us) and we can more easily demonstrate expertise and invite those chosen prospects to consume our content.
  • 6. At this point, we have evolved into bona fide predators–seeking out the most profitable clients, (those that we can make a BIG difference for) and luring them into our website where we can “nurture” them until they buy from us. What started as a simple marketing idea (Let’s put up a decorative billboard on the information superhighway!) has become a very attentive and attractive process combining a marketer’s analytical skills with a sales person’s intention of hunting. And that is what makes it so hard to drive results. So few organizations can find any one person who combines the marketer’s insight and analysis of the target audience with the sales person’s hunting motives. Worst is, they have two sets of people or groups divided as the marketers who lead in generating the leads, and the other set of sales people who turn those generated leads into results or deals. Both groups are, in theory, aligned toward getting new business, but both see that predator in very different ways, and hence they often clash, thus their efforts are wasted rather than making collaborations. Thus the only secret way to succeeding in this online business development process is to get marketing and sales working together to achieve business. Main Benefit of Telecommuting Most of the organizations in the brick and mortar or traditional marketing are nowadays also adopting the online business strategy in order to work from their home or small-office-home-office. Telecommuting was also present in earlier days as another form where sister concerns were formed and would provide support to the mainstream businesses to grow and work independently. It was also embedded and facilitated by recent and safer cloud environments thus to return the benefits of corporate governance.
