2. Missing Elements
• When I handed in the draft version of my poster, I
knew that some conventional elements were
missing. The reason they were missing was that I
didn’t quite know how they should look or where
to get them from without breaking copyright laws
(for example the certification logo).
• The elements that were missing were the film
website, the certification logo and the credit
block.
• The next few slides will explain how I added these
to my poster.
3. Missing Elements
• It was easy to add the
film website and the
certification when I
knew what I was
doing as it was simply
inserting a picture for
the logo and inserting
text for the website.
• Here is a picture of
how my poster looked
when I added these
elements.
4. Missing Elements
• When it came to inserting a
credit block, I knew that it
was convention for it too look
small and narrow and to be at
the bottom of the poster, due
to conventional research that
I had done.
• I used the font “Agency FB” to
create my credit block and
made sure that I used credits
that we noted down as a
group. This meant we kept a
consistency making our
posters look professional.
• Here is a picture of how my
poster looked when I added
the credit block.
5. Fonts
• I also received feedback that the font used on my
tagline was inappropriate. It was the same font as the
one used on cast details and so kept a consistency but
didn’t look very professional, and I agreed with the
point.
• Because of this I decided to use the font “Letter Gothic
STD”. I used this as it looked similar to the cast details
font but stood out on its own much more.
• Here is how it now looks.
6. Layout
• The final piece of feedback that I received was about
the layout of my poster. As I explained in posts above, I
have centralised my title so that all of the content is
not too much to the left of the poster. I kept the tagline
to the right as I feel it evens out the poster.
• Now that I have added conventional elements, the
poster looks more professional and the layout looks
more even.
• I now need to work on making the brightness more
visible so that all of the content can be seen.
