2. •We have found Nicki Minaj’s
“Starships” album cover to look similar
to our digipak. We want to make
something vibrant that makes the
artist and album itself stand out.
3. •She is a R&B artist, just like our artist.
We want to follow some of the
conventions that she has followed, in
order to result in a similar product.
4. Few or no characters:
•Apart from the artist’s name and the
album’s name, there is no other piece
of information, as it would look to
overloaded with information. When we
create our front cover, we would also
have a few characters (artist name and
album name), in order to make it
stand out to the audience.
5. A simplistic design:
•The background is kept
monochromatic- just white, and there
is very little going on on Nicki Minaj’s
cover. It is a mid-shot of her and some
basic necessary information. We want
to also have a mid-shot taken of our
artist and a one-colour background, to
make sure that the focus is on the
6. Bold, simple font for artist’s name:
•This looks appealing, and not too over-
done. The audience needs to recognise
the artist at first glance, not the
typography.
