CHAPTER I
The Problem and it’s Scope
1.1background of the study t
The quality and condition of the machine is on the top of the priorities in Dressmaking class. The machine
should be functionally stable and in good condition so that it is not difficult for grade 12 FBS to use and operate
the machine. Good quality cloth in making an static dress that are going to use and other related equipments tool
and materials that are going to use to achieve best result the researcher aim.
However, the machine so far is the most difficult for the researcher because it is not essay to use the machine
without first consulting an expert technicians whether it will work or not, because only few machine work.
Researchers endured so that the researcher would make things that subject teacher wanted to do in
Dressmaking.
For the continuous the researchers suggest to principal and ask for permission to hire a technician for the
sewing machine and request training on how to fix the machine so that it is not difficult for the student to know
how to fix it.
1.2 STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
Adapting the curriculum’s aims and objectives to the industry’s ever-changing need is one of the largest issues
facing hospitality educators today. It is imperative to reduce the knowledge gap between what is taught in schools and
what employers require of recent graduates. A hotel employment is the excellent job for a student of FBS. They are
supposed to work as a hotel receptionist, perform hotel duties, and oversee hotel dining establishment.
However, in reality, people are struggling to obtain employment due to shortage of job prospects. In light of it, senior
high school students, with the subject.
Given that passing or dealing with the dressmaking subject would require talent and effort, it might be challenging
to take, the first consideration would be financial because, as we all know , this topic requires the employment of
numerous pieces of equipment, including machines and clothes. The commitment to thoroughly study the subject, no
matter what the challenge, is the second factors
Despite these obstacle, if you are committed to succeeding and willing to overcome any difficulties you may
encounter, you will overcome all obstacle that may arise.
This study intends to identify the many difficulties and Challenges encountered by Geronima Cabrera National High
School student in dealing with their Dressmaking course.
Therefore, the following questions will be attempted to be answered by this study.
1. What potential issues might the Grade 12 FBS student face when enrolling in the dressmaking
subject?
2. What are the issue and challenges in facing the grade 12 FBS-A and B student in Dressmaking Subject?
3. What are the solutions for the taking machine?
1.3 Scope and Delimitation of the Study
This study is only to the Grade-12 FBS of Geronima Cabrera National High School to find out the
possible reason why they are struggling and having same difficulties and Challenges regards of the
dressmaking subject, with the total population of 72 students 55 girls and 17 boys in FBS. This
excludes the tracks of GAS and EIM.
1.4 Conceptual Framework
The concept of this study is outlined in the diagram of the conceptual framework for the study
that is provided below.
The Geronima Cabrera National High School is shown by the first box, which is the study area.
The respondent of the study, who are Grade-12 FBS-A student, are shown in the following circle.
The second circle indicates the study’s primary goals, which is the subject of Dressmaking.
As you can see, there are two arrows pointing upward from the Grade-12 FBS student back to
the dressmaking subject. These arrows demonstrate how the Grade-12 FBS student will profit from
the study’s conclusion.

1.5 Definition of term
• Dressmaking – Dressmaking is the activity or job of making clothes for women or
girls. Collins COBUILD Advanced Learner’s Dictionary.
• FOOD BEVERAGES SERVICE– The food and beverage service is a process of preparing,
presenting, and serving food and beverages to customers. Food can include a wide range
of styles and cuisine types. These can be classified by country. Beverages include all
alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
• Garments – It is a piece of clothing used especially in context where you are talking
about the manufacture or sale of clothes.
• Technical-vocational livelihood(TVL)–TVL Strand is designed to develop students’ skills
that is useful for livelihood and technical projects. It provides a curriculum that is a
combination of Core Courses and specialized hands-on courses that meets the
competency-based assessment of TESDA.
• TESDA–The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) is the
government agency tasked to manage and supervise technical education and skills
development (TESD) in the Philippines. It was created by virtue of Republic Act 7796,
otherwise known as the “Technical Education and Skills Development Act of 1994”.
Chapter III
RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
This chapter will discuss and elaborate the methods of research
used, research design, research environment, research
participants, research instrument, and research tools in conducting
this study.
This study will use the descriptive research design as this study will describe
the Difficulties and Challenges in Dressmaking Subject of Grade 12 Food and
Beverage Services Students of Geronima Cabrera National High School to collect
the formation required for the examination of the impact of sewing machine on
the skills and study habits of the respondent, this study will employ a descriptive
research methodology using a questionnaire.
3.2 Research environment
This research will be conducted of Geronima Cabrera National High senior
High school students under the TVL track of Geronima Cabrera National High
School will be chosen as the sample.

The research participants in this study will be the students in Grade 12-FBS B. The respondent will be
asked to answer the questionnaire about the Difficulties and Challenges in facing the Dressmaking Subject
3.4 Research instrument
In this study the respondent of the study will be given a questionnaire that is orderly arranged and carefully
prepared by the researchers.
3.5 Data Gathering Procedure
The survey questionnaire will be developed from related research as well as newly written inquiries from
the instrument, the researcher will request approval from the school principal and the class adviser of the target
population to conduct the survey then the researcher will distribute their survey questionnaires to the
participants. The survey questionnaire will be gathered by the researchers after the 20 minutes allowed to
answer the questionnaire.
The information from the respondent will be gathered, counted, calculated and examined. In addition the
primary data that will be acquired the researcher will use secondary data in the form of publish articles and other
literature to corroborate the survey’s findings
