Yvonne Gomez-Castellucci is pursuing a Master's degree in Instructional Design and Technology. She feels this degree aligns with her goals and will allow her to stay on the cutting edge of technology in education. The degree will equip her with skills to improve learning outcomes and possibly become a school technology coordinator. Her goals for the program are to acquire mastery of instructional design, gain skills needed to be employable, and move beyond the traditional classroom into teaching with technology.
2. I am Yvonne Gomez-Castellucci
I am pursuing a Masters degree in Instructional Design and Technology. I feel that this degree aligns itself with
where I planned to go in life. I feel that in the past I have chosen a field that was limited to what I can do. This
degree allows me the advantage of being on the cutting edge. I am no longer held down by the confines of a
traditional setting in my field in education. I can now learn an aspect that makes me more employable. This
Masters program equips me with the skills and knowledge required to significantly improve learning and
performance outcomes within my school system. It will also allow me I feel to move past the classroom and into a
level of teaching that I would like to achieve, I would like to teach my peers to improve the way in which they teach
with the use of increased technological skills. Everyday we lose our students interest to you tube and video
games, we are constantly competing to be relevant. As an educator one needs to stay ahead of the game one
needs to be as interesting as the next best thing. You must want to change and learned and you must set forth an
example which students can follow. I feel that if I continue to pursue this field, at the end of next year I will have my
Master. I will be better equip to deal with the new technological advancement and I will be able to possibly pursue
placement as a school technological coordinator. School everyday are moving into a world where paper in no
longer a necessary but technology is.
