I always start my design with a simple system and then develop my idea based on
that system. These systems can include: a grid, a pattern, and development that
includes exporation of variations . I have worked and been educated in three different
places, which include Hong Kong and US. Familiar with both the western and eastern
cultures I am always seeking an intermediary zone where I can cultivate both
viewpoints: eastern and western.

This project is designed for
a rising fashion designer NOA
RAVIV.
NOA's works were largely in-
spired by biological forms, her
design language was asymetri-
cal white space, transparency
and curvy grid.
The store was not only a space
for shopping, but also wanted
to create a dialogue between
the spatial quality and NOA's
clothes.

FURNITURE
The customized furniture
designed for the store
was trying to create a
dialogue between the
products and furniture.
Developed from NOA's
line grid system, the
design of the store is
followed by a dot grid
system, while the con-
nection between dots
providing a biological
hanger system.

PROCESSION J A C K D E S I G NB-1
PROCESSION
The procession is a research
on how a pattern can grow 3
dimensionally.
The model was created by 4
sheets of paper containing
the same pattern, By laser
cutting, connecting, bending,
The pattern becomes columns,
flooring and ceiling decorative
elements. Thus the space has
lots of iterations providing
audience for sitting, resting
and enjoying different quality
of shading.

DEVELOPMENT OF
PATTERNS
Research question: How can a
pattern grow three dimension-
ally without losing is original
properties?
Through testing different
combination of patterns in 2
dimensions and 3 dimensions
world, the process has been
seen in the final model.
