We don’t need to tell you that Microsoft Teams gives collaboration within your business a massive boost. But what intrinsic value does the tool offer? In a modern work environment dominated by mobile and cloud, Teams gives your colleagues the necessary productivity tools to streamline their daily tasks. During this session, we’ll discuss how Teams could boost your colleagues’ productivity, focusing on AI and the user interface.

Good morning!
First of all thank you very much for joining this session.
Every year we’ve a little internal battle about having the most participants in our breakout session and with >100 registrations for this session we did win this year
Once again thank you very much!
I’m very happy to be doing this session together with my colleague, MVP and collaboration specialist Thomas Vochten.
For him, this kind of large sessions is a walk in the park, so that makes me also feel more comfortable this morning.
But let’s get started.
The Ultimate Microsoft Teams Experience with AI and Mobile First.
Let us start with 3 small question to you:
1) Who in the room is already familiar with Microsoft Teams?
2) Who in the room is already familiar with the Mobile First experience of Microsoft Teams?
3) Who in the room is familiar with everyday AI (Artificial Intelligence) in Microsoft Teams, but also more in general Microsoft 365?
Cool, let get it started.
The time is now to adopt Teams in your enterprise.
You are not alone.
2 weeks ago I joined Microsoft Ignite, the yearly customer & partner conference, and there were no less than 55 session dedicated on Microsoft Teams!
And we also feel this momentum in the market analysis: the most recent figures from summer 2019 provided a daily active users count of +13 million.
But do you now the daily active users count of Office?
The active daily users count of Office = +200 million
This means that there’s a great momentum with Microsoft Teams, but there’s even a bigger opportunity ahead of us
Which are the challenges that we’re facing in today’s workplace:
We’re spending to much time on email
There’re a lot of interruptions/distractions during our workday
Regain focus takes us up to 23 minutes
Critical information gets lost in the information flow
Searching information, sometimes fragemented over several platforms, takes us to much time
Which are the benefits on using a Workstream Collaboration Tooling like Microsoft Teams:
Save time by improved collaboration and information sharing, even multiple hours a week
Replace more trips by effective online meetings
We will talk about the effective meetings later on
But to place this more into perspective, we’re definitely not only talking about international trips, lots of time gets lost with daily travels between multiple national branches or locations
Less meetings by better and easier collaboration / information sharing
Improve your time to decision by centralizing data, insights and better communications
Integrate firstline workers with their office colleagues and start better collaboration flows
Unifiying your productivity solutions in one place (Teams integrates Collaboration & Communications, but also Tasks, Yammer, business apps, …)
Microsoft Teams =
Single pane of glass principle
Teams is the new centerpiece for Collaboration & Communications
Teams brings everything together from Microsoft 365, the World’s Productivity Cloud
Productivity benefits are only reached when users actually know how to use Teams effectively. Don’t underestimate your Teams adoption journey.
Xylos has developed his own Adoption Journeys, and even one especially for Microsoft Teams:
This afternoon at 15h there is a session about this Microsoft Teams Adoption Journey
At 16h15 there is another session about our broader Change & Adoption solutions
And please visit the stand of OASE and our Change & Adoption team, which is located in the ‘first aid’ area
I have a very nice device here with me today, something that only started in 2007, do you still remember the famoust words “One more thing”?
The iPhone really revolutionized our mobile experience and now 12 years later we cannot miss this mobile companion anymore.
Let’s look at the Mobile First experience with Microsoft Teams.
10 things we love about the mobile client of Microsoft Teams … Now the fun starts because we’re going to show you some things.
To present some of the features, I will now wirelessly cast my mobile devices to the Surface Hub, so you will have a bigger screen to follow.
OK, next topic we will talk about the infused everyday AI in Microsoft Teams and from the broader picture in Microsoft 365.
Same concept as with the mobile first experience, we will show you some of the great features and therefore we will now wirelessly cast our pc to the Surface Hub.
In our last topic of this session, we will talk about effective meetings in Microsoft Teams.
With this topic we go a little bit ‘off track’, but we get a lot of question on this so make it a short but effective talk in this topic.
First of all starting with a question to you: which type of meetings do their exist with Microsoft Teams?
Scheduled
Ad-hoc
Channel
Live Event
Which of this meeting types is the most effective one?
Sorry, I tricked you with this question.
"The most effective meeting is the one that never happened, at least if it missed context & action points“
So let’s talk about the new approach to effective meetings with Microsoft Teams.
The effective meeting experience with Microsoft Teams is built on the BEFORE, DURING and AFTER meeting experience.
BEFORE: schedule the meeting (private or in a channel) and start the conversation via chat, start collaboration on documents and presentations and provide attendees the possibility to review historie and context. WELL PREPARED MEETING
DURING: during the meeting we will enable Video for more immersive conversations, BG Blur (or even virtual backgrounds) will make us feel more comfortable. Co-author on the documents during the meeting. Whiteboard together. Co-create the meeting notes and action items. Include everyone with live captions and subtitles, regardless of the language spoken and participate from anywhere like you are in the room. RICH MEETING EXPERIENCE
AFTER: Review the meeting notes and track the assigned follo-ups (action points). Access Meeting recording and transcript for easy search on meeting content. Continue to chat and collaborate on documents, whiteboard, meeting notes and action items. CONTROL THE ACTION
OK, time to wrap up this session.
Starting with our 3 key takeways of the session.
