1. Xavier offers a broad range of college credit classes for students of all interests. There are
classes to prepare students for specific careers as well as classes that transfer for general ed-
ucation credit into a four-year college or university. Students are reminded that these are col-
lege classes and should be treated as such (extra reading, longer papers, more responsibility).

2. Kirkwood Career Academies (Up to 12 credits credit per year) Students must sign
up for one academy and take only the classes offered in that option. (No Fee)
All classes meet at the Linn County Regional Center on Boyson Rd. There is a separate
application process for these academies through Kirkwood facilitated by Mr. Schemmel in
Guidance. Courses meet either the first two or last two periods of the XHS school day.
