Your Tour Leader, our privileged partner on this operation.
While the guide of Malagasy Tours and his assistants manages the logistics and coordinates the various interlocutors,
the tour leader, the indispensable relay, is attentive to the customers.
It is the link between the organization of the journey and the realization of the services.
To be in permanent contact with the team and the various providers, Malagasy Tours gives to the TL a GSM phone as
well as a directory of all the persons involved in the journey. We also give him a usb key 3G to allow him to keep
contact with his agency through internet.
Your Tour Leader will be F.O.C in single for all the duration of the operation.

Your inspection tripThe incentive project manager
It is the person who handles the operation from A to Z.
It is her who is the interlocutor n°1 of the agency in Europe. She has all the necessary skills
to be the link between the various participating actors in the event.
She is tuned in. Her experience allows her to investigate all the tracks in search of originality
and of unexpected. Its advice and its expertise are precious.
Her glance concerns to the slightest details of the operation, from accommodations to the
meals in the excursions, from the teasers to the small attentions which bring some pleasure.
The project manager will be also present on the ground for the final implementations of the
services. A permanent exchange with the Tour Leader is wished.
We can organize you a journey of inspection to help you to
set up the program with your customer.
We plan generally a journey of inspection for 4 persons
maximum. The project manager can accompany you if you
wish it.
We try to obtain as much as possible foc’s with the concerned
providers. Certain providers do not offer foc’s but a reduction
on rates. These will thus be charged to you by Malagasy
Tours at a net cost.
All the engaged expenses (except international and national
flights) will entirely be paid off to you if the group is
confirmed.
The amount of the inspection will then be deducted from the
total amount of the services charged for the group.
Guides accompanying you during your stay in Madagascar are above all
great professionals. Most of them are in the depths of Malagasy Tours
company since long time. He contributes to his everyday evolution,
looking for new spots in remote area of the country. He travelled up
and down his country, and has been in all spots, he has friends
everywhere. Being entirely involved to his mission, he shall know and
see everything and he gives all his energy and know-how to accomplish
his job.

ARRIVAL AT THE AIRPORT
Visa
A visa is compulsory for all foreign
travelers.
IT IS FREE IN 2013
It obtains on arrival at the airport of Antananarivo. A
counter is dedicated to it.
It is necessary to you to present your passport (validity 6
months after your return in France) and your return flight
ticket. No other document is required (either certificates, or
photocopy, or passport photos).
Meet and assist
A team of guides Malagasy Tours is present at the airport upon the arrival of the customers. Both guides which will
accompany the groups plus a team of carriers for luggage.
Malagasy Tours is authorized by the ACM (Civil aviation of Madagascar) to wait for its customers in the zone plug. We
cannot reach under customs to assist the customers the obtaining of the visa or the recovery of luggage.
Panels mentioning the name of the group allow the guides to welcom the group and to meet them in the hall of the
airport.
Luggage
IMPORTANT - In case of flight in connection of province or foreign countries, it is
more careful to get back its luggage in the Roissy airport - CGG, to register them
again for Madagascar. It is not rare that luggage arrives with several days of
delay at destination!
Luggage is limited to 20 kg on the internal flights.
In Antananarivo, a team of Malagasy Tours takes care of the luggage of the
customers. A vehicle is specially planned for the transport.
Change - We propose 3 options:
1/every customer changes one by one, in the counter of the bank in
the hall of the airport.
2/the customers group together the currencies, the tour leader takes
care of the change in the counter of the bank.
NB - These steps can set certain time.
A guide Malagasy Tours assists the customers for the formalities of
exchange.
3/Malagasy Tours prepares envelopes containing the equivalent 50€
in local currency. These envelopes are exchanged to the customers
for euros. The customer can change all along the way euro in local
currency with the guide (by envelope of 20€ )
A average of 100€ a person is generally spent on drinks and
personal purchases.
At the end of journey the customers can change with the guide the
exceeding of local currency in euro. It will be asked to them to group
together their local currency to facilitate the operation.
NB: the usage of the credit card is quite limited. The Visa
card is preferable to the Mastercard
On the way to the hotel
A small bag in raffia is distributed to every
customer, containing the program of the
journey, a map of Madagascar, stamped
postcards and a sculptured wooden pen.
One light meal is served during the route
(mineral water, small cakes, fruits)
A short briefing is done on the route up to
the hotel to present Madagascar, the
program, the team of supervision, the
general organization of the journey, We fix
the appointment for the following morning.
Information is get with the customers
concerning possible "special" menus
(vegetarian, pork, etc.)
The local currency is Ariary (Ar):

The luggage vehicle
The luggage of the customers is transported in a more modest minibus. It
is permanently beside the bus temporary. A driver and his assistant
constitute the crew.
The vehicle of assistance
During all the circuit, a vehicle of assistance with a member of the team of
Malagasy Tours supervision precedes the group. His role is to prepare the
arrival of the group to every stage: the restaurant, the visit of sites to the
program, the hotels in the evening. His presence also allows to act very
quickly in case of problem (administrative, sanitary, etc.)
Accommodation
When the group arrives to the hotel, the staff of the assistance vehicle will
have organized its welcome, verified the conformity of rooms with the
rooming list, the menu of the dinner; every customer finds at his/her
disposal his romm key) and the police form labelled in his name.
A welcome cocktail is proposed
The customer then goes to his room where his luggage will have been
delivered by the team of the luggage vehicle.
A moment of relaxation is generally planned before the beginning of
evening.
The excursions and the activities
The excursions and the activities are always supervised by one or several guides of
Malagasy Tours according to the size of the group.
All the national parks and the nature reserves of the country can be visited on foot
only. The main charm of these sites is animal at first: lemurs, birds, insects, but also
flowers and plants. During these visits, we are always accompanied with local guides.
The hikes which we propose in our programs do not present particular difficulties,
The rhythm of walking is a function of the capacity of each. Besides the guide
Malagasy Tours who accompanies you during all the journey, one or several guides of
the park will be present. The group can be thus split and each so goes at its pace.
Malagasy Tours plans some mineral water at disposal for the customers during the
hikes.
According to the size of the group, the activities planned in the program will be
displayed over half a day or one day So that all the members of group can make
them. The activities are always supervised by the staff of the concerned providers. In
certain case, their timing can depend on specific conditions and must be thus
respected.
The activities offered by hotels during free days are to be directly reserved with the
hotel according to your envy.
Tips
In Madagascar the usage of the tip is institutionalized but not compulsory, and really
depends on the satisfaction of the client. Generally included in the price of the
journey this service takes into account this essential element. The concerned posts
are the following ones: porterage at airports - tips in hotels (porterage, service) - tips
in restaurants - the local teams : the local guides during the excursions and
activities, the porters in the parks, the Malagasy Tours guides and drivers.
The indicated amounts are given as a rough guide on the basis of our experience.
They can be modified at your convenience. We shall be there to advise you on this.

The meals
The Malagasy cooking is inspired by various culinary influences. Most of the
hotels and restaurants have Malagasy “chefs” who ally perfectly the inheritance
of a French gastronomy with the flavours of spices of the island, and it, with the
touch of Indian and Asian inspiration.
We savour an excellent local foie gras, the tournedos of zebu, the chicken with
coconut or a delicious duck in the vanilla. The traditional cooking proposes the
Romazava, national dish consisted of a stew of zebu mixed with “brèdes”, and
the Ravitoto, another Malagasy speciality with pork and leaves of manioc. The
local cooking is excellent and creative. Traditional and regional dishes are always
privileged.
Malagasy Tours will elaborate with the restaurant or the hotel food & beverage
manager, the menus in every stages of the journey. So, it is asked to the agency
to announce us the choices and preferences of his customers concerning dishes.
A particular attention is brought to the "special" menus asked by certain persons.
Breakfasts are in buffet and offer croissants and pastries, yoghurts, cereal, eggs,
fruit juices and fresh fruit. Some delicatessen is sometimes proposed to the
menu.
The lunches and the diners with menu or in buffet always include at least an
entrance, a main course with accompaniment and a dessert. Tea and coffee
enclose the meal. A second entrance or a second dish can be included for a more
elaborated meal.
Gala Diner Evening
For the farewell evening in Madagascar, besides a particularly elaborated menu,
several suggestions can be made so that this evening is memorable:
Grilled fish and meat barbecue on the beach
 Theme evening (white evening, sarong & flip flop evening…)
 Music and dances of the region
 Drum session with the musicians
 Malagasy storyteller
 Malagasy traditional show of fight (depends on the region)
The drinks
We suggest a wine Betsileo white, red or “grey" produced in the region of
Fianarantsoa, or a French, Italian or South African wine.
Then, please enjoy our rum, the "toaka gasy," produced on the island of Nosy Be
or "litchel," a white rum flavoured with leeches. Of course, fresh fruit juices
(mango, sour sop, pineapple ...), local beer and mineral water are also available.
During the meal
As stated in "the price includes", we include drinks in the price of the trip. For
each meal, the customer has a ½ bottle of mineral water or beer or a soda or a
bottle of wine for 3 persons.
Additional drinks will be paid directly to the restaurant, or charged to the room
n° - in the case of meals on the premises of the hotel – It will has to be paid at
the end of the stay.
As an aperitif
We offer a flavoured rum (coffee, litchi, vanilla ...) or “Ti punch" local rum-based.
Classics imported liquors such as Whisky, Gin, Ricard, Martini, Vodka ... are also
available. Snacks, peanuts, chips and dried fruits accompanied this moment.
Cocktails
We prefer the local cocktails with rum and fruits, but we also have some other
classic cocktails based on different spirits or champagne.
The open bar
You have the choice of time (1/2h, 1h or 2h) and their composition:
 Classic: fruit juice, beer, South African, Italian or French red and white wine,
imported spirits.
 Sparkling: Sparkling wine from South Africa, Kir, Bellini.
 French Champagne & Kir Royal.
The hot or cold appetizers
Some examples for cocktails and open bar:
Toast with foie gras, smoked fish canapés, mini skewers of zebu or duck, shrimp
cocktail or gazpacho in a verrine, chicken spring rolls…
Tarts, macaroons, mini cookies, chocolate icing and many others are also of the
party!

HEALTH
No vaccine mandatory, but vaccination against yellow
fever and updated immunization for diphtheria-tetanus-
polio are recommended. Malaria is present in Madagascar,
it is advisable to include measures for protection against
mosquitoes : repellents, protective clothes especially at
dusk and the use of mosquito nets when necessary. A drug
prevention must also be ensured for this, please consult
your doctor. It is advisable not to drink tap water: prefer
bottled water or water treated with capsules.
Bring a first aid kit. If you don’t want to bring it back, our
staff will give it to dispensaries.
CLIMATE
From December to march : rain season.
April, may et June combine very good conditions to travel. From April to
November : dry season, also good conditions to come.
July and august : southern winter – cool weather and often cloudy. No rain.
September, October et November have the best weather conditions to come.
Nights are often cool in the highlands
It is cold in altitude (Antsirabe, Andringitra) during winter.
East coast benefits humid climate because of monsoon (June/ July).
PHOTOS
You can charge your digital/video camera, hotels
have power sockets (french model) either in rooms,
reception or restaurant.
All our cars (bus, 4WD) have also cigarette lighter
12V.
Bring extra memory cards and batteries.
TELECOMMUNICATIONS
Madagascar has mobile phone infrastructure now (Orange,
Zain and Telma). Ask information to your mobile company.

THE TERMS OF SALE
The conditions of booking
The small number of hotels in Madagascar and their low capacity makes that the establishments have always a lot of requests and can be fully booked very quickly.
Therefore, the reservations in hotels must be made as soon as possible.
The reservations of the ground services must be made for our offices of Tana by e-mail with names and first names of the participants, dates of birth, all flights
details and booking references, rooming list.
The registration will be definitive only in reception of the requested deposit.
The procedure of payment
A deposit of 30 % of the price of the entire service is asked the booking
confirmation.
The second 30 % deposit is asked in 60 days by the departure.
The balance is payable 30 days before the arrival of the group to
Madagascar.
The wanted deposits may vary according to the requirements of the local
subcontracted providers (private airlines, hotels)
We ask you expressly to send by fax a copy of your bank transfer to be
able to follow it on the spot with our bank.
MALAGASY TOURS takes at his expense the banking charges of its bank in
Madagascar, but does not accept the expenses of the foreign banks.

The rates
They are net and expressed in euro. Rates were established on the basis of prices communicated by the various service providers and according to the exchange
rate at the time of the quote.
Any fluctuation in the exchange rate coming to influence of more than 10 % the total cost of the journey, would entail necessarily an adjustment of the prices.
Of same, Malagasy Tours reserve the right to modify its prices in case of variation of the costs of the transport or the taxes for the period when these services are
used whatever are the dates of booking or payment defined during the signature of the contract.
