• SUNY Broome is approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs
(VA) as a training facility for veterans and other eligible students.
• The Veterans & Military Affairs Office currently coordinates services
for more than 110 veterans who are attending classes and receiving
veteran’s education benefits

3. HOW TO APPLY FOR BENEFITS
• Determine which benefit is best for you
• Apply for your Veterans Education Benefits through the VA
• Submit a copy of DD-214 (Member Copy 4), or Notice of Basic
Eligibility (Form: DD-2384)
• Submit a copy of your Certificate of Eligibility letter
• It is recommended that you apply for federal student aid by
completing a Free Application
