4. Program Objectives
• Increase use of alternative-fuel vehicles (AFVs) and
advanced technology vehicles by public/private fleets to:
- Reduce U.S. dependence on imported petroleum,
- Increase fuel economy, and
- Improve emissions, especially in
non-attainment areas
• Install necessary infrastructure
to directly support AFVs or
advanced-technology vehicles
• Ensure vehicles capable of using
alternative fuel do so to the
greatest extent possible

infrastructure installations (18) by 52 partners!

successfully address charging issues
