golden colours. On the day of
engagement the brides wear
red saree or lehenga choli. On the

kanyadan, saptapadi and vidai, she

piece–suits there is short/sleeveless
coat (called bandi) in addition to coat
and pant of the same fabric. The same

during the wedding rituals of kanyadan,
phera (sapta padi) etc.
