PLOW & HEARTH OPENING AT VILLAGE AT LEESBURG
LEESBURG, Va. (June 1, 2011) – Village at Leesburg today announced that Plow & Hearth, a
trusted national catalog, retail and internet company that offers high-quality products for home,
hearth, yard and garden, is opening tomorrow in over 6,000 square feet of space in suite 100 of
the 1603 block of Village Market Blvd.
The tenant was represented by Gary Taubin and Jeff Pollack of Street Sense, while Village at
Leesburg was represented by its exclusive retail leasing partner, KLNB Retail.
“We are thrilled to be opening a new location at Village at Leesburg and will be selling a variety
of household products, including premium outdoor living and entertaining items to make every
backyard a warm weather oasis for the summer,” stated Paul Abugattas, director of retail at Plow
& Hearth. “We expect to be in our temporary suite until the fall, and then will move to our
permanent site at the center, next to Flame Kabob and across from the theater, which will have a
wider assortment of offerings, including products for indoor and outdoor rooms, gardens, pets,
personal comfort and care, safety and emergencies, weather instruments, storage solutions and
gifts.”
Plow & Hearth began as a small country store in Madison, Virginia in 1980 and has since grown
to have eleven retail store locations in the Virginia, Maryland and North Carolina areas, in
addition to their strong presence online and in catalogs. Providing premiere products for over

Additional signed tenants that are expected to be operational by year-end are Cobb Village 12
Cinemas, Pinkberry, Finnegan’s Irish Pub, Firebirds Wood Fired Grill and G5 Salon.
Village at Leesburg is a vertically-integrated, four-story village which features approximately
520,000 square feet of retail space, combined with 150,000 square feet of office product and 335
luxury multi-family residences. The residential component is complete and all units are available
for rent. Approximately 98% of the units already have been leased. A Cypress Equities
company* is developing the commercial components of the project and Kettler is developing the
residential component. The Carlyle Group is the lead equity partner in the development, and
KLNB Retail is handling the leasing of the retail sections.
