Data Management Insights Data visibility is achieved with Information Studio, which can ingest and visually render data from more than 30 sources including NetBackup, MS OneDrive, MS SharePoint, CIFs shares, etc., then take action on that data such as tiering or deleting. The Veritas Information Classifier is included in every key technology across our information governance offerings and enables organizations to easily apply data management policies to help meet key regulatory requirements such as required by GDPR, Sarbanes Oxley, HIPAA, SEC, CCPA. Users can quickly eliminate dark data and gain key insights like what data you have, who has access to it, whether it’s stale and can be tiered to lower cost storage, whether it’s PII data. Since 160 zettabytes means virtually nothing to everyone, to put this into perspective, consider this illustration: Apple’s highest capacity iPhone is the Xs, with 512GB of onboard storage The question is, how many of these iPhones would it take to hold 163ZB? The answer is 318,359,375,000! With each of these iPhones measuring about 1/3 of an inch (about 8.5mm) thick, you could make a stack of them that would circle the world roughly 107 times!
