3. What Are We Talking About?
First : Define Innovation
Second : Design Thinking
Thirdly: Agile Disruption Method
Practical Application: Crowdsourcing & Coworking
7. What is an Entrepreneur?
The simple Verge definition:
An entrepreneur is an empathic visionary who is
agile and ingenuous.
Entrepreneurs upset and disorganize rather then
improve something that already exists.
The entrepreneur is always searching for change,
responds to it and exploits it as an opportunity to
improve the lives of their consumers and
increase profitability.
8. Indicators for Innovation
Unexpected success, unexpected failure or
outside event
Disparity between what is and what ought to be
Process need
Changes in industry structure or market
structure
Population changes
Changes in cultural perception, mood and
meaning (reasons for being or doing "A or B")
New knowledge
9. Analytical Thinking
Purpose:
To prove through inductive and deductive reasoning.
Approach
Exploration of existing knowledge
Reliance on data from the past
Suppression of intuition
Goal:
Reliability: a constant outcome
10. Intuitive Thinking
Purpose:
Prove through conditional reasoning. A sense of
knowing without explicit proof.
Approach:
Exploration of new knowledge
Focus on what might be
Invention of the future
Suppression of analysis
Goal:
Validity: the production of outcomes you want to
happen
11. Design Thinking
Purpose:
Balance inductive and deductive reasoning with
abductive reasoning to create choices which are
desired, valid, and feasible.
Approach:
Exploitation and exploration
Integration of future with the past
Design of what should be
Integration of analysis and intuition
Goal:
Increase and fortify competitive advantage
12. "Design thinking can be
described as a discipline that
uses the designer’s sensibility
and methods to match people’s
needs with what is
technologically feasible and
what a viable business strategy
can convert into customer value
and market opportunity"
13. Design Thinking Utilizes Three
Forms of Reasoning
Abductive Reasoning is the logic of the origin of ideas.
It's goal is to assume the existence of all that is possible
despite their apparent truth or falsehood.
Inductive Reasoning is a form of theory-building which
is used to predict future happens based on the correlations
of past observations or experiences. Inductive reasoning is
the logic of what could be.
Deductive Reasoning is the logic of what must be. It is
the process of conclusively proving what is true or valid
beyond reproach.
15. Design Thinking Process
1. Define The Problem
2. Create Many Solutions
3. Refine Selected Solution
4. Execute
16. Agile Disruption Method
Agile Disruption Method is the process of purposefully
contradicting ones own perceptions in order to increase the
efficiency of the internal mental process called thinking.
Increasing the effectiveness of ones thought process will in turn
optimize the advancement of knowledge and understanding.
Innovation through the Agile Disruption Method is achieved with
constant exposure to new and challenging information.
17. What Makes Agile Disruption
Different?
Doesn't seek to find solutions. AD-M was
designed to find contradictions
Based on Collective Intelligence & Open-
Collaboration
Doesn't identify choices but eliminates
inefficiency's prior to the time of discovery
18.
19. Using Design Thinking, a company can
undoubtedly become a market leader. With
continuous employment of its principles of human
desirability, technical feasibility, and business
viability, a company can and will maintain a
leading edge within its market.
Agile Disruption Method is a process by which
market leaders can diverge into both lower and
higher stratospheres of the market to establish or
reestablish dominance.
21. Collaborative Innovation
Purpose:
collaborate to achieve a common goal by sharing ideas,
information and work
Approach:
Trust and Self-Organization
Internal Transparency
Make knowledge accessible to everyone
Embrace social technology as a means of direct communication
Goal:
Increase the productivity, effectiveness, quantity, and quality of
the problem-solving process to yield greater results.
22. Crowdsourcing
Purpose:
Solve through collective intelligence
Approach:
Open-Collaboration
Exploitation and exploration
Social Networking as a means of innovation
Community
Goal:
Efficiency: creating the best possible solutions for the least
amount of money
24. Coworking
Purpose:
Low-cost collaborative workspaces for creative entrepreneurs,
freelancers, independents and telecommuters.
Approach:
Community
Openness
Collaboration
Accessibility
Sustainability
Goal:
Create a community, culture, and ecosystem for like-minded
individuals to freely grow personally and professionally, as
well as collaboratively spark new ideas.
