Vaxjo is definitely a “bike-friendly” city considering
its size. There is not much problem biking around
unless the weather troubles you, which is the
situation of more or less the whole autumn semester. !
Luckily, we still have busses between the town and
the campus. Information about the local bus
company, their route and timetable can be found on
their official website: !
http://www.lanstrafikenkron.se/en/ !
Bus no.3 has stops at the library and around the
campus so it might be the best option for you.
Otherwise, there is also a bus stop called Teleborg
Centrum between ICA and Statoil, where you can
take bus no.1 and no.5 to town.!
Two pieces of advise when taking the bus in Vaxjo: !
Try to get a bus card at the welcome fair with a
discount.!
Always pay with bus card. And if you do not have
one, always pay with bankcard. Paying with cash
would be twice as expensive due to tax.!
*Additional advice: Adapt to the “Swedish tradition”.
Be cool and sit as far away from the next person as
you can.

Slottsstallarna is one of the two student pubs
located on Campus. It is run by a student
association in cooperation with several others, VIS
being one of them. That means VIS will have weeks
where they are responsible to work at the pub during
the opening nights. As a member of VIS you will get
the opportunity to be a part of that and there will be
an award system, giving benefits both for you and
VIS as an association. And on the plus side you get
experience and the chance to meet new and exciting
people! More information can be found on page
