PRELUDIO
Ramón hace la presentación
Al aire libre, en el interior
del patio de la Torre San
José, entra el público.
Escuchamos ruidos de palomas,
el “grugrugru”, con fondo de
oleaje y gaviotas. Se recrea
una atmósfera marina.
Aviso al público:
“Estimado público, la
representación va a comenzar.
Por babor, les rogamos apaguen
sus móviles o los mantengan en
silencio”.
El público accede al patio de
la torre y se sienta en un
dispositivo ya situado en el
espacio central.
Suena la sirena de un barco.
Y sobre su eco, aparece en el
patio de la torre, entre el
público, el GUARDIA RAMÓN,
montado sobre una máquina
fantástica. Silba o tararea la
melodía que será el leitmotiv:
‘Dame veneno que quiero
morir’. Su máquina es empujada
por BABOR y ESTRIBOR, los
esbirros que le acompañan.
GUARDIA RAMÓN
Ay, dame veneno
que quiero morir,
Dame venenoooo,
que antes prefiero la muerte
Que vivir contigo,
dame venenooooo...
Enseguida pasa a saludar al
público.
PRELUDE
Ramón presents
Outdoors, within the patio
of the tower, the audience
enters. We hear noises made by
pigeons, the ‘coo-coo’, along
with the background sound of
surf and seagulls. A marine
atmosphere is set.
Message to the audience:
‘Dear spectators, the
representation is about to
begin. We ask you to please
turn off your mobile devices
or silence them’
The audience accesses the
patio of the tower and
proceeds to sit down on a
device, located in the central
area.
The siren of a ship sounds.
And above its eco, a figure
appears among the audience in
the patio of the tower, RAMÓN
THE GUARD. He appears to be
over a fantastic machine. He
whistles or mumbles the melody
of what will prevail the
leitmotiv: ‘Give me poison,
for I want to die’. His
machine is pushed by PORT and
STARBOARD, the two henchmen
who accompany him.
RAMÓN THE GUARD
Give me poison,
for I want to die,
Give me poison,
I would rather die
Than live with you,
give me poison…
He immediately goes on to
greet the audience.
8. El Guardia Ramón
GUARDIA RAMÓN
¡Damas y caballeros! ¡Ladies
and gentleman! ¡Amiguitas
y amiguitos del alma!
¡Bienvenidas y bienvenidos!
Gracias por acompañarnos al
futuro, ese souvenir...
Permítanme que me presente:
soy el guardia Ramón, siempre
a la orden. Y os cuento, seré
breve: esta historia comienza
en el futuro, en el año 2054
de la era de antes, la del
mundo que... ya no existe.
Primero, los combustibles
fósiles, bum, se agotaron.
Luego, los casquetes polares,
venga a derretirse, cosa
mala. Y la mitad de Europa,
empezando por las depresiones
fluviales y los países
deudores, en un visto y no
visto, medio sumergidos,
¡o HUNDIDOS del todo! ¡Los
ciclos y los ciclones! Pero...
amiguitas y amiguitos del
alma, ¡no asustarse! oh,
que lindas y enternecedoras
criaturicas…
Primero, para quien sabe que
los momentos de crisis son
momentos de oportunidad, esto
es realmente una maravilla.
Segundo, ¡Estamos hablando,
realmente, de apartamentos
en primera línea de playa
del Campo de Criptana a las
murallas de Ávila, de Cuatro
Caminos al Puente de Vallecas,
del Poble Nou a Triana!
(hace una pausa dramática)
Y los cerros de Vallecas,
querido público...
¡¡Ay, los cerros de Vallecas!!
Vallecas, al fin, quizás ya lo
estáis sospechando...
RAMÓN THE GUARD
Ladies and gentlemen! Ladies
and gentlemen! Dearest
companions! Welcome! Thank you
for coming along with us to
the future, that souvenir...
Allow me to present myself:
I am Ramón the Guard, made
to order at all times. And
I have something to share
with you, I’ll be brief: this
story begins in the future, in
the year 2054, a year in the
past era, the era of a world
that... no longer exists.
First, the fossil fuels, boom,
they ran out. Then, the polar
icecaps, they kept melting,
not good. And half of Europe,
starting with the fluvial
depressions and the countries
in debt, in the twinkling
of an eye, they were almost
submerged, ¡or even completely
sunken! ¡All the cycles and
cyclones! But... my dearest
companions, ¡do not fear! oh,
such lovely heart-warming
creatures…
First, that who is aware that
the moments of crisis can be
ultimately turned into moments
of opportunity, that is truly
a blessing. And next, ¡we
are genuinely talking about
beachfront apartments from the
field of Criptana to the Walls
of Avila, from Cuatro Caminos
to Puente de Vallecas, from
Poble Nou to Triana!
(dramatically pauses)
And the hills of Vallecas, my
dear audience...
Oh, the hills of Vallecas!!
Vallecas, finally, you might be
suspecting...
9. ¡Vallecas tiene puerto de mar!
Ay, dame veneno que quiero
morir, dame venenooo...
¡Otro sueño cumplido! Y lo
sabes.

BABOR Y ESTRIBOR
¡Bajo el gobierno del gran

GUARDIA RAMÓN
¡Silencio idiotas! Porque
sucede, amiguitas y amiguitos
del alma, que las Palomas de
Palomeras, ciudadanas del
barro y del barrio,
han olvidado volar…
¡Han olvidado volar!
¡HAN OLVIDADO VOLAR!
BABOR Y ESTRIBOR empiezan a
dar palmas por rumbas.
Vallecas has a seaport!
Oh, give me poison, for I want
to die, give me poison...
Yet another dream fulfilled!
And you know it’s true.

by gentle pigeons...
PORT AND STARBOARD
Under the ruling of the great
algorithm everything is just
so beautiful and hygienic,
everything so is so aseptic

RAMÓN THE GUARD
Silence you idiots! Because it
occurs, my dearest companions,
that the pigeons in Palomeras,
citizens of this neighbourhood
and its mud,
have forgotten how to fly…
They’ve forgotten how to fly!
THEY’VE FORGOTTEN HOW TO FLY!
PORT AND STARBOARD begin
handclapping to some rumbas.
10. GUARDIA RAMÓN
Ay, dame veneno

Patio de la Torre SAN JOSÉ
ESCENA PRIMERA
La verbena de las palomas
Suena de nuevo la sirena de
un barco. Poco a poco, se
van abriendo ventanas, donde
aparece el coro de personajes–
paloma. Un tendal instalado
en las viviendas actúa como
mecanismo en el cual distintas
acciones específicas de las
vecinas se desarrollan como
una cadena de montaje,
tendiendo diferentes objetos.
Entra música de ‘Welcome to

el CORO DE PALOMAS.
CORO DE PALOMAS
(cantan)
La barriada tiene tiene algo
especial.
Yo me quedo aquí que tengo lo
fundamental.
Casa, trabajo, familia,
amigos, lo fundamental.
Yo me quedo aquí que es donde
crecimos...
Mi barrio tiene algo
diferente, se nota en las
esquinas.
En sus esquinas y en su gente.
Un barrio obrero al sureste de
Madrid.
Y aquí es donde nací, aquí
quiero morir...

FIRST SCENE
The pigeons festivity
The siren of a ship is heard
once again. Little by little,
windows are opened, where
the choir formed by pigeons
appears. A clothes airer
installed in the houses
acts as a mechanism whereby
different specific actions are
performed by the neighbours
hanging different objects, as
if it were an assembly line.
The PIGEON CHOIR interprets

PIGEON CHOIR
(singing)
This neighbourhood has
something special
I choose to stay here, where I
have all I need
A house, a job, a family,
friends all I need
I choose to stay here, where
we grew up...
My neighbourhood has something
different, you can see it in
the corners.
In its corners and in its
people.
A working neighbourhood in the
southwest of Madrid
And here is where I was born,
here is where I want to die...

VOICE-OVER
(along with the choir)
The access to housing,
especially in popular
locations such as Vallecas
has always been one of the
main concerns of the youth
suffering from unemployment
and precarious working. The
AV Los Pinos de San Agustín
launched a project in 1989

ejemplo en la lucha por el
derecho a techo. A los pocos
días 235 personas pagan las
2000 pesetas (12€) necesarias
para inscribirse en lo que
se denominará COJUVIPAL. En
febrero de 1995 COJUVIPAL
ve cumplido su sueño con la
terminación de un bloque de
14 plantas que acogerá 252
viviendas y de las llamadas
hileras que agrupa a 129 casa

364 viviendas en régimen de

COJUVIPAL. In February of

DOMESTIC TURTLEDOVE
What a bummer, among grandpa’s

PIGEON SMITH
Are you insane? Shut up, shut

ESCENA SEGUNDA
El show de Colombina
Se señala una ventana.
Se abre y reaparece COLOMBINA,
como si estuviera actuando
en un talent show musical

saltadora base.
COLOMBINA
Soy una paloma joven, guapa y
llena de ilusión. ¡Destinada
al éxito y a petarlo en

quiero llegar lejos…¡como
hicieron mis antepasadas
antes de que perdieran los

Se arranca a cantar una
‘Volare’ de los ‘Gipsy King’

intentando volar, acompañada
de mujeres que salen del

COLOMBINA

Volare, oh oh

COLOMBINA sale de escena por

SECOND SCENE
Colombina’s show
A window is pointed to.
It opens and COLOMBINA

COLOMBINA
I am a young pigeon, pretty
and full of enthusiasm, ¡Set

She starts singing ‘Volare’ by
‘Gipsy King’ as she performs a

followed by women coming out

18. ESCENA TERCERA
El anuncio
El GUARDIA RAMÓN, sobre su
máquina fantástica, entra
silbando la melodía que es su
leitmotiv.
GUARDIA RAMÓN
Ay, dame veneno
que quiero morir,
Dame venenoooo...
El GUARDIA RAMÓN viene
con sus ayudantes BABOR y
ESTRIBOR para mover su máquina
fantástica. Se levanta sobre
su silla como si fuera un
pregonero.
GUARDIA RAMÓN
Se hace saber en este corral,
que por orden del INFIMA,
Instituto de Finanzas e
Inversiones Muy Acertadas,
se tomarán las medidas
oportunas ante la llegada
inminente de una colonia de
ovejas que serán reubicadas
en lotes a sortear dentro

¿What?
¿Ovejas?
¿Aquí?
¡OMG!
¿Pero por qué?
¡Noooooo!
¿Qué haremos entonces
nosotras?
¡Pero si apenas tenemos sitio!
¿y son peligrosas?
THIRD SCENE
The announcement
RAMÓN THE GUARD, over his
fantastic machine, enters
whistling the melody of what
is his leitmotiv.
RAMÓN THE GUARD
Give me poison,
for I want to die
Give me poison...
RAMÓN THE GUARD comes with his
helpers PORT and STARBOARD to
move his fantastic machine. He
stands up on his chair as if
he was a town crier.
RAMÓN THE GUARD
It is declared in this yard
that as determined by the
INFIMA, the Financial
Fnstitute of Successful
Investments, the appropriate
action will be taken upon the
impending arrival of a Sheep
colony which will be relocated
as batches to raffle in this
loft, thanks to our new
Partial Plan!
PIGEON CHOIR
(reverb effect, prerecorded
sound)
What?
Sheep?
Here?
OMG!
But why?
Noooooo!
What are we going to do then?
There is practically no room!
And what if they are
dangerous?
19. Miran raro…
¡NO hay sitio para ovejas!
Palomas first. ¡Palomas first!
El GUARDIA RAMÓN tiene
una especie de máquina
registradora/calculadora con
un rollo de papel gigante
entre las manos. Desde las
ventanas, las Palomas arrojan
octavillas sobre el público.
Las octavillas tienen números
diferentes para una rifa que
celebraremos más adelante y
la apariencia de la primera
página de un periódico y/o
de un faldón publicitario
de una inmobiliaria. Ambos
(publicidad inmobiliaria y
noticia) se refieren a los
lotes y las parcelas de
nuestro palomar.
El GUARDIA RAMÓN, desde su
silla fantástica, vuelve a
silbar/tararear su leitmotiv
‘Dame veneno…’ debajo de una
lluvia de octavillas.
They stare in a weird way …
There is NO room for sheep!
Pigeons first. Pigeons first!
RAMÓN THE GUARD has a sort
of cash register machine/
calculator with a giant paper
roll in his hands. From the
windows, the pigeons throw
flyers over the audience.
The flyers have different
numbers for a raffle which we
will celebrate later on and
the appearance of the front
page of a newspaper and/or a
realtor advertisement. Both
(realtor publicity and news)
refer to our loft’s batches
and plots.
RAMÓN THE GUARD, from his
fantastic chair, whistles/
mumbles his leitmotiv ‘Give
me poison…’ again under the
rainfall of flyers.
20. TRANSICIÓN
ACTO I – ACTO II
Nos movemos de la torre al
mirador, entre espacios
escénicos. Suena el leitmotiv
del GUARDIA RAMÓN y éste anima
desde su silla fantástica a
que el público se desplace
desde el patio de la torre
a las gradas –puerto–. El
GUARDIA RAMÓN se comporta como
un déspota humorístico con
el público, como si fueran
las palomas. Tránsito de la
orquesta o Big Band tocando
de un sitio a otro en modo
charanga.
GUARDIA RAMÓN
¿Quién quiere un palco en el
puerto para ser la primera
paloma en ver la llegada de
las ovejas?
¡Querido público! ¡Vengan
conmigo y asistan a este
momento único en la historia!
¡La llegada de las bárbaras
ovejas en riguroso directo al
puerto de mar de Vallecas!
Ay, dame veneno
que quiero morir,
Dame venenoooo,
que antes prefiero la muerte
Que vivir contigo,
dame venenooooo...
GUARDIA RAMÓN
Este es el maravilloso puerto
de mar de Vallecas,
¿Qué os parece?
¿No es un sueño hecho
realidad? Por fin hemos logrado
tener nuestro tan deseado
puerto, además de un lugar de
interesantes oportunidades
TRANSITION
ACT I – ACT II
We move away from the tower
to the viewpoint, in between
stage spaces. RAMÓN THE
GUARD’s leitmotiv is heard,
and from his fantastic chair,
he encourages the audience to
move from the patio of the
tower to the stands –harbour–.
RAMÓN THE GUARD behaves like
a humorous despot with the
audience, as if they were the
pigeons. The orchestra or
Big Band plays in a charanga
format while transitioning
from one place to another.
RAMÓN THE GUARD
Who wants a balcony at the
harbour to be the first pigeon
to see the arrival of the
sheep?
Dear audience! Come with me
and attend this unique moment
in history! The arrival of
the barbarous Sheep to the
Vallecas seaport in real time!
Give me poison,
for I want to die,
Give me poison,
I would rather die
Than live with you,
give me poison...
RAMÓN THE GUARD
This is the wonderful Vallecas
harbour,
What do you think?
Isn’t it a dream come true?
We have finally procured our
highly wished harbour,
furthermore, in a place

FOURTH SCENE
The landing
In the sport fields stands.
The audience is located in
the stands situated between
the esplanade and the sports
fields, as if they were the
harbour’s ghats. There are
other stands constructed for
the occasion in the shape of
a sailboat from where the
Sheep come out dressed in
yellow rain jackets. RAMÓN THE
GUARD addresses the audience
directly.
RAMÓN THE GUARD
When are the damn Sheep
getting here?
From the boats/stands, the
Sheep wearing yellow rain
jackets come out to the
esplanade which recreates the
sea, and they perform their
choreography. They move in two
parallel lines against the
sea current, fighting against

strength; the tide, the waves.

Battle takes place. – The Hymn
of Cofradía Marinera- sung by
the SHEEP CHOIR.
SHEEP CHOIR

Arponeras campechanas,
bucaneras vallekanas.
HERISHEF EL CARNERO
Dicen que OVEJASA es una
tierra de abundancia…
OVEJA HELE
Habladurías sin fundamento…
OVEJA FRIXA
¿Será cierto todo lo que
dicen?
VOZ EN OFF
(a modo publicitario con acom-
pañamiento del Coro)
OVEJASA informa: Una forma
nueva de pagar su piso en
propiedad aplicable a los
vecinos. Una manera de que
usted pague su vivienda de
una vez, aprovechando los
intereses de su dinero. Si
usted elige pagar utilizando
el sistema financiero,
gestionado entre OVEJASA y el
Banco Hipotecario el piso ya
es suyo. Esto no es ningún
milagro, es como dice su
nombre, un sistema financiero.
Ya sabe usted lo que son los
intereses y a lo largo de 35
años mucho más.
Suenan relámpagos y se
intensifica la tormenta.
HERISHEF EL CARNERO
¡Por la gran madre de las
ovejas y el gran carnero
alado! ¡Ójala OVEJASA sea
verdad!
OVEJA HELE
¡Esas son historias tontas!
Vallekan buccaneers.
Folksy harpooners,
Vallekan buccanettes.
HERISHEF THE RAM
They say OVEJASA is a land of
abundance…
HELE THE SHEEP
Hearsay without substantiation…
FRIXA THE SHEEP
Is everything they say true?
VOICE OVER
(in an advertising way along with
the choir)
OVEJASA informs: A new way
of paying for a flat which is
applicable to the neighbours. A
way in which you can finally pay
for your housing, exploiting
the interests of your money.
If you decide to pay using the
financial system administered by
OVEJASA and the Mortgage Bank,
the flat is yours. This is not
any sort of miracle, its I what
its name implies, a financial
system. You already know what
interests are and even more
throughout 35 years.
Lightning strikes and the storm
aggravates.
HERISHEF THE RAM
For the Holy Sheep’s Love and
the Great winged Ram’s sake!
Hopefully OVEJASA is true!
HELE THE SHIP
Those are silly stories!
25. HERISHEF EL CARNERO
Eres una pesimista, Hele.
Y si no te agarras fuerte,
acabarás cayendo al mar...
ARI
Por el hilo creador de la
catarata. Ahora no es momento
de discutir con tu hermana,
Heri.
OVEJA FRIXA
Después de la gran ola y
la gran guerra, OVEJASA se
convirtió en el lugar al que
todas las ovejas deseaban
llegar…
OVEJA HELE
¿Es verdad?
ARI
Si es así, tenemos mucha
suerte de estar tan cerca...
La tormenta se aleja. Las
Ovejas llegan hasta el
puerto donde desembarcan y
se encuentran con el GUARDIA
RAMÓN.
HERISHEF THE RAM
You’re so pessimistic, Hele.
And if you don’t hold on
hard enough, you will end up
falling into the sea...
ARI
This is not the moment to fight
with your sister, Heri.
FRIXA THE SHEEP
After the big wave and the big
war, OVEJASA became the place
which all the Sheep desired to
reach…
HELE THE SHEEP
Is it true?
ARI
If it is, we are lucky to be
so close...
The storm wanders off. The
Sheep arrive to the harbour
where they disembark and come
across RAMÓN THE GUARD.
26. ESCENA QUINTA
La rifa
Las ovejas salen de la
embarcación con precaución
y rodean al GUARDIA RAMÓN,
sentado sobre su palanquín.
GUARDIA RAMÓN
¡Bienvenidas amiguitas del
alma, unguladas domésticas

sois merinas? La verdad, yo
siempre las confundo. Da

GUARDIA RAMÓN
¡¡La gran rifa!!
El GUARDIA RAMÓN y sus
esbirros empiezan a arrojar
sobre público y ovejas puñados

lotería con un número y el
sello del INFIMA, mientras
suena música de tómbola, de
verbena de coches de choque.

arbitraria y delirante en las
diferentes parcelas, que están
pintadas en el suelo. Algunas
de ellas ya están ocupadas
previamente por palomas que
asisten entre la estupefacción
y la queja al acomodo de
nuevas inquilinas.
GUARDIA RAMÓN

it says it will construct

RAMÓN THE GUARD and his
Henchmen start handling people

sheep, they locate them in an
arbitrary and delirious way
within the different plots,
which are painted on the floor.
Some of them are already
occupied by pigeons which
attend to the accommodation of
new renters between oblivion
and complain.
RAMÓN THE GUARD
My dearest companion!
You got plot 433-B!
Congratulations, here you go!
Come with me and I’ll show you
the views.

You’ll see, what do you think?

injusto! ¡Aquí no cabemos

GUARDIA RAMÓN
¡Silencio, maldita sea!
Pobres infelices, a esta oveja
le ha tocado una parcela
ocupada por palomas...
...a esta otra, le ha tocado
una parcela en proyecto que
ya hemos inaugurado con una
gran fiesta plateada, pero
totalmente inservible hasta
dentro de 600 años solares...
Entre las Ovejas, solo queda
fuera de las parcelas ARI, que
se ha quedado sin premio.
Come with me, please.

RAMÓN THE GUARD
Silence, damn it!
Poor wretch, this Sheep got a
plot occupied by pigeons…

plot which we have already

out of a plot is ARI, she is
left without any award.

ESCENA SEXTA
Ari
ARI deambula alrededor de
las parcelas dibujadas en
el suelo, que se encuentran
completas de ovejas y palomas
forcejeando entre sí. Intenta
entrar en varias de forma
nerviosa y es rechazada.
Mientras canta su versión de
‘Bandido’ de Azúcar Moreno.
ARI
(canta)
La Luna me embrujó y me llevó
hasta ti, veneno del amor que
yo feliz bebí
Y aunque mi pecho ardió y me
abrasó la piel, me supo dulce
como la miel.
ARI, al no encontrar sitio
libre, se dirige a la
plataforma elevada y sube para
encontrarse con COLOMBINA,
que está desde el comienzo,
intentando volar.
Entretanto GUARDIA RAMÓN y sus
esbirros comienzan a rodear
y a atar a las comunidades
pese a su rechazo. Se producen
forcejeos y un conato de
rebelión, pero al final, el
GUARDIA RAMÓN y sus esbirros
logran reducirlos. Una vez
atados, el GUARDIA RAMÓN sube
al palanquín y se va cantando
el leitmotiv.
ESCENA SEXTA
Ari
ARI wanders around the plots
drawn on the floor, which are
all occupied by Sheep and
pigeons tussling each other.
She tries to go into various
plots in a nervous way, and is
rejected. Meanwhile, she sings
her own version of ‘Bandido’,
by Azúcar Moreno.
ARI
(sings)
The moon haunted me and took
me with you, to you, poison of
the love that I happily drank.
And even though my chest
burned and so did my skin, it
tasted sweet like honey.
As she does not find an
available place, ARI walks
toward an elevated platform
and goes up to meet COLOMBINA,
who is from the start,
attempting to fly.
Meanwhile RAMÓN THE GUARD and
his Henchmen begin to surround
and tie the communities
regardless of their
rejectment. There are tussles
and a conatus of rebellion,
but, in the end, RAMÓN THE
GUARD and his Henchmen defeat
them. Once they are tied down,
RAMÓN THE GUARD gets on his
palanquin and leaves singing
the leitmotiv.
30. TRANSICIÓN
ACTO II – ACTO III
ARI se acerca al muro donde
está COLOMBINA.
ARI
¿Qué va a ser ahora de mi
futuro?
¿Y mi sueño de un nuevo hogar
y una nueva vida?
COLOMBINA
Gru, gru, gru…
¡Yo quiero volar lejos y ser
una estrella del pop!
ARI
¡Qué tristeza, qué fatiga!
COLOMBINA
¡Quiero ser influencer, copón!
¿Pero es que es mucho pedir?
Las dos personajes se quejan
frente al público, cada vez
más ensimismadas, de manera
cada vez más exagerada. Hasta
que llega el momento en el que
se miran la una a la otra.
ARI
¿Qué es ser influencer?
COLOMBINA
Pues eso, ¡ser una diva pop
del mundo virtual!
ARI
¡Ah! ¡Me gusta! La música va
siempre conmigo y…
COLOMBINA
¡Espera!

ARI walks to the wall where

What is going to happen with
my future now?
What about my dream of a new

Coo, coo, coo…
I want to fly far away and
becomea popstar!
ARI
How sad, what a fatigue!
COLOMBINA
I want to be an influencer,
damn it!
Is that too much to ask?
The two characters complain in
front of the audience, acting
more and more self-absorbed,
in a growingly extravagant
manner. Until the moment comes
when they look at each other.
ARI
¿What does being an influencer
even mean?
COLOMBINA
Well, to be a virtually known

VECINO HISTÓRICO
(coro acompaña en vivo haciendo
juegos de voces)
¡Vecinos y vecinas! ¡Gracias
por venir a esta reunión!
Como sabéis, estamos viviendo
un momento muy importante.
Tenemos que estar más unidos
que nunca. Hace dos semanas,
a fines de abril de este año
histórico de 1975, en el que
el dictador por fin ha estirao

Se comenzaron las obras de

The revolt of the animals
One of the neighbours, within
the audience, stands up and

the tale in first person of the
fight between neighbourhoods
and the memory of the place,
as the audience accommodates.
HISTORIC NEIGHBOUR
(Choir follows live)
Neighbours! Thank you for
attending this meeting!
As you know, we are living a
very relevant moment. We need
to be closer than we’ve ever
been. Two weeks ago, at the
end of April of the historic
year, 1975, where the dictator
has finally passed away.
(applause, choir cheers)
The work to asphalt the lower
area of the Cerro began. We
have requested a path road
with rubbles and cinder, so
that in case of emergency, a
car can at least go by, since
the Cerro is a true barrel
when it rains, you already
know…
...Moreover, our neighbourhood
is one of the affected by
a Partial Plan that aim to
kick us all out. After the
protest against the Plan we
had last July, we achieved the

… ya desde el principio de
nuestra lucha frente a los
primeros planes parciales
se decía que los vecinos de
Vallecas éramos una “población
extraña y difícil de
erradicar”, ¿qué os parece?
(gritos y quejas del coro)
Así nos dimos cuenta que
estos planes eran planes de
expulsión, ¡planes para
expulsarnos a nosotros! Pero,
leches, tenemos todo el
derecho del mundo a permanecer
en este barrio. El barrio es
nuestro, lo hemos hecho entre
todos, con nuestras propias
manos. Le hemos dado el valor
que actualmente tiene y
tenemos derecho a permanecer
aquí en unas condiciones
dignas. En una vivienda
bien construida, con tamaño
suficiente y económicamente
accesible para todos. Tenemos
derecho a un barrio con los
equipamientos necesarios…
ARI
!Ovejas! ¡Palomas!
¡Otras especies de fauna y

COLOMBINA
¿Por qué pelear entre plumas y

derechos conquistados!
COLOMBINA
¿No es mejor que cada una sea

¿Qué te gustan las plumas?
paralysation of licenses for a

… From the very beginning of
our fight against the first
partial plans it was told that
the neighbours from Vallecas
were ‘a strange and hard to
eradicate population’, what do
you think?
(yelling and complains from the
choir)
We then realized that these
plans were in fact plans of
expulsion, plans to kick
us all out! But, we have
every right to remain in
this neighbourhood. This
neighbourhood is ours, we
have built it together, with
our bare hands. We have given
it the value it has today,
and we have every right to
remain here in dignified
conditions. In a well-built
housing, with enough space and
economically accessible for
everyone. We have the right
to a neighbourhood with the
necessary equipment…

ARI
Let’s move Ramón the Guard’s

de la canción, palomas y
ovejas se sitúan a los pies de
la silla–palanquín. El GUARDIA
first musical number is ‘Va a
estallar el obús’ by Obús.
COLOMBINA
(sings)
You haven’t had your last
drink on a hurry
You have started from zero to
now.Something tells you you’ll
be lucky, if you are tired you
no longer feel it…
SHEEP AND PIGEON CHOIR
(singing)
Get ready...
The bombshell is about to
explode!
PORT and STARBOARD try to
break the revolt shaking and
using exaggerated gestures.
The community offers
resistance, and this leads to
a fight between the henchmen
and the rebellious animals.
ARI
Look at people, how they move
Your low blows don’t stop them
While you mumble with one
That the other came in
crossed…
SHEEP AND PIGEON CHOIR
And I know well
that you are burning in
jealousy
PORT AND STARBOARD
Get ready! The bombshell is
about to explode!
Once the third verse of the
song starts, both Sheep and
pigeons position themselves
next to the chair. RAMÓN THE
42. RAMÓN primero las mira con
superioridad, pero empieza a
preocuparse cuando le empiezan
a mover la silla y comprueba
que BABOR y ESTRIBOR se han
sumado a la rebelión cantando
heavy metal.
GUARDIA RAMÓN
(sigue con la canción de Obús)
¿Qué estáis haciendo,
desgraciadas? ¡No os atreváis
a desobedecerme!
¡Por orden del INFIMA,
deteneos!
De manera estúpida y
desmesurada, el GUARDIA RAMÓN
acaba perdiendo su lugar en
la silla en el clímax de la
canción. Es “engullido” por la
turba de ovejas y palomas a
sus pies como si estas fueran
una plaga bíblica. La silla
del GUARDIA RAMÓN, finalmente,
queda vacía.
GUARD. first glances at them
with a look of superiority
but begins to worry when they
start moving his chair and he
sees that PORT and STARBOARD
have joined the revolt singing
heavy metal.
RAMÓN THE GUARD
(continuing the Obús song)
What are you doing,
you wretch? Don’t you dare
disobey me!
Stop, the INFIMA orders it!
In a stupid and
disproportionate manner, RAMÓN
THE GUARD ends up losing his
place on his chair, when the
song reaches the climax. He is
devoured by the Sheep and the
pigeons down to their feet,
as if these were a biblical
plague. RAMÓN THE GUARD’s
chair is finally left empty.
43. ESCENA NOVENA
KOPERA
Mientras baja la música
de la canción de Obús al
final de la batalla, ARI y
COLOMBINA se aproximan al
palanquín y comienzan a subir
simultáneamente, una frente a
la otra.
BABOR y ESTRIBOR contemplan
atónitos la escalada, PALOMA
SMITH está tendida en el
suelo y TÓRTOLA DOMÉSTICA
llora silenciosamente junto a
su amiga. Silencio entre el
elenco.
COLOMBINA despliega las alas
mientras alcanza junto a ARI
la cima de la silla palanquín.
Con ese movimiento arroja
a ARI al suelo al tiempo
que por fin consigue volar.
Clímax, momentazo místico–
religioso. COLOMBINA se recrea
volando y finalmente se posa
sobre la silla del GUARDIA
RAMÓN. Música épica para que
COLOMBINA recite su alegato
final.
Toda la comunidad escucha
ensimismada, absorta,
esperanzada.
COLOMBINA
¡Palomas y ovejas de esta
tierra! El Guardia Ramón nos
ha sometido durante todos
estos años. Pero, desde este
momento, gracias a mí, sois
libres.
Se nos ha vuelto a destruir la
civilización otra vez por el
camino, pero yo os pido por
NINTH SCENE
KOPERA
As the music from the song is
lowered when the battle ends,
ARI and COLOMBINA approach the
chair and they start climbing
it simultaneously, facing each
other.
PORT and STARBOARD contemplate
the climbing amazed, PIGEON
SMITH is lying down on the
floor and DOMESTIC TURTLEDOVE
silently cries next to her
friend. Silence.
COLOMBINA unfolds her wings
as she reaches the top of the
chair next to ARI. With that
movement, she throws ARI to
the floor as she finally starts
to fly. Climax, mystical-
religious moment. COLOMBINA
flies and finally perches on
Ramón’s chair. Epic music, for
COLOMBINA to recite her final
allegation.
The whole community listens
lost, absorbed, hopeful.
COLOMBINA
Pigeons and Sheep in this
land! Ramón the Guard
Has submit us all of these
years. But, from the moment
on, thanks to me, you are
free.
The civilization has been
destroyed yet again along the
way, but I ask you to maintain

COLOMBINA
¡Bravo! ¡Otra vez! ¿Quién mató
al Guardia Ramón!
CORO DE PALOMAS Y OVEJAS
¡Todas a una! ¡Palomaovejuna!
COLOMBINA
Exacto, eso es. Estamos
vivas, veremos salir el
sol por la mañana, el agua
corre por las fuentes y en
una solo día tengo más de
5.600 seguidores nuevos en
Instagram. Lo que significa
que soy una influencer top,
muy top. He subido el caché
una barbaridad y además he
conseguido volar, ¿o será por
haber conseguido volar que
hemos subido el caché una
barbaridad?
CORO DE PALOMAS Y OVEJAS
(con acompañamiento musical)
¡¡Comunidad, Unidad,
Felicidad!!
¡Colombina ha subido el caché
una barbaridad!
COLOMBINA
¡Palomas del palomar! ¡Ovejas
recién llegadas a este
bello puerto de mar! Esta
tierra ahora es mía y por
eso quiero decir que también
es un poquito vuestra. Esta
es la tierra donde seremos
huevo, nido, madeja, rebaño
innumerable de plumas y
the unity and hope, in memory
of our fallen sisters. All
for one, who killed Ramón the
Guard?
SHEEP AND PIGEON CHOIR
Palomaovejuna did it, doctor!
COLOMBINA
Bravo! again! who killed Ramón
the Guard?
SHEEP AND PIGEON CHOIR
All for one! Palomaovejuna!
COLOMBINA
Exactly. We are alive, we
will watch the sunrise
tomorrow morning, water runs
through the fountains and
in just a day I have more
than 5.600 new followers on
Instagram. Which means that
I am a top influencer, very
top. My popularity has grown
tremendously, and I have
even learned to fly, or did
my popularity grow because I
learned to fly?
SHEEP AND PIGEON CHOIR
(musical comping)
Community, Union, Happiness!!
Colombina’s popularity has
grown tremendously!
COLOMBINA
Pigeons of the dovecot!
New Sheep who got to this
beautiful seaport! This land
is now mine and that means
that it is a bit yours too.
This is the land where we
will be egg, nest, skein, and
innumerable flock of feathers
and wool… By the way, this
45. cardados… Por cierto, esto me
recuerda una canción buenísima
de Paloma San Basilio. Dice
que somos del lugar donde
venimos a la vida, pero que
también somos del lugar
donde se encuentran nuestros
recuerdos, juntos, fumando un
cigarrillo a medias…
BABOR
Colombina enloqueció…
COLOMBINA
Así que recordadme siempre,
por babor. Y recordad siempre
el día en que fuimos tierra en
rebeldía abierta al mar, donde
se acoge a quien naufraga
y donde se lucha con un
micrófono en la mano frente a
los tiranos. Vivir aquí, os
doy mi palabra, no volverá a
ser una lotería.
Ari lo comprendió muy bien:
ser libre nos es cosa de
ovejas o palomas. Es cosa de
plumas y cardados, cardados y
plumas…
CORO DE PALOMAS Y OVEJAS
(con acompañamiento musical)
¡Viva Colombina!
¡Vivan los cardados y las
plumas!
OVEJA FRIXE
¡Qué el gran Carnero alado
lleve volando a nuestra
hermana Ari a través del mar!
HERISHEF EL CARNERO
Ay, que penita...
BABOR
¡Me encanta esta nueva jefa!
COLOMBINA
¡Silencio! Entre todas, ejem,
haremos una casa feliz. Será
reminds me of a really good
song by Paloma de Basilio.
She says that we are from
that place where we came to
life, but we are also from
that place where our memories
remain, together, splitting a
cigarette…
PORT
Colombina has gone insane …
COLOMBINA
So always remember me, please.
And always remember the day
where we were a land of
rebellion open to the sea,
where we shelter that who
sinks and where we fight with
a microphone against the
tyrants. Living here, and I
give you my word, will never
be a raffle again.
Ari understood it perfectly:
Freedom isn’t a Sheep or
pigeon thing. It is a feathers
and wool thing, wool and
feathers….
SHEEP AND PIGEON CHOIR
(musical comping)
Long live Colombina!
Long live the feathers and the
wool!
FRIXE THE SHEEP
May the great winged Ram take
our sister Ari
flying across the sea!
HERISHEF THE RAM
How sad...
PORT
I love our new boss!
COLOMBINA
Silence! Between us, uhum,
we will make a happy home.
46. la casa de nuestros sueños.
Recordad bien esta historia
y lo de la casa. La casa de
nuestros sueños, la casa
que el sol calienta por la
mañana y el agua refresca al
anochecer...
CORO DE PALOMAS Y OVEJAS
(con acompañamiento musical)
¡¡Comunidad, Unidad,
Felicidad!!
¡La casa que el sol calienta
por la mañana
y el agua refresca al
anochecer!
¡Viva Colombina! ¡Vivaaaaaa!
Toda la comunidad se muestra
exultante y profiere gritos
de victoria. Hay lágrimas
y abrazos. Se recoge a los
heridos y fallecidos –entre
los que se encuentra ARI– la
mártir de la rebelión contra
el GUARDIA RAMÓN. Todo ello se
acompaña con música, cuando
esta se apaga se mantiene un
silencio dramático.
Y entonces COLOMBINA retoma el
leitmotiv del GUARDIA RAMÓN.
Ahora es ella quien ocupa su
puesto.
COLOMBINA
Ay dame veneno
que quiero morir,
dame venenoooo…
Música y luces funden
lentamente a negro. Aplausos.
Regresa música y luces y
todas las personajes saludan
al público. Aplausos. El
elenco baila una pequeña
coreografía rumbera y se junta
con el público. Saludan a sus
It will be our dream home.
Remember this story and the
thing about the home. Our
dream home, the home the sun
warms up in the morning and
the water refreshes at dawn…
SHEEP AND PIGEON CHOIR
(musical comping)
Community, Union, Happiness!!
The home the sun warms up in
the morning
and the water refreshes at
dawn!
Long live Colombina!
The whole community yells
victory. There are tears and
hugs. The hurt and dead are
picked up – among them ARI-
the martyr of the rebellion
against RAMÓN THE GUARD.
Everything is followed by
music, when this is turned off
there is a dramatic silence.
And then COLOMBINA returns to
RAMÓN THE GUARD’s leitmotiv.
Now she is who occupies his
place.
COLOMBINA
Give me poison,
for I want to die,
give me poison…
Music and lights turn black.
Applause. The music and light
come back on and all the
characters greet the audience.
Applause. The cast dances a
choreography and joins the
audience. They greet their
families and friends, they all
