UX expert review ("Heuristic evaluation") is a process of examining the user-interface of a product and identifying usability problems. The interface is judged through recognized usability principles (the "heuristics"). The process is quick, relatively inexpensive & easy to perform.
Preparations before performing the review are essential. The preparations include defining main target users ("personas") and their usage-scenarios. Properly done, an expert can give a better overall perception and a clear, prioritized to-do problems list.
The lecture itself contains many do's & don'ts examples from a wide variety of products. UX expert review is not just a process: it is a state of mind relevant at ALL phases of product development.
