How you deal with your prospects plays
a pivotal role in deciding whether or not
you’ll be able to sign a deal with him.
Being from a Startup you might tend to
sound vulnerable to your prospective
clients. While showing attention to your
clients might be good to impress, showing
too much of it could ruin your chance of
getting yourself a deal.
Here are a few things that you need to
keep in mind when you deal with your
prospects. Sticking to these things
could brighten your chances of getting
yourself a deal with them.
The Air of Vulnerability
This is the last thing that the prospects
look for in you. Not only does that give
away your desperation to get yourself a
client but will also lower your emotional
strength in front of them.
Your free time
True you have only just started with your
Venture. That doesn’t mean you give away
the fact that you have ample free time and
are ready to take his order. This sends
apart a negative message about your
personality to them.
Don’t get too personal with your
prospects
This is the last thing you should have in
mind. Getting personal with your clients
and maybe asking them out for lunch
might sound right to foster your
relationship with your prospect. But it has
the opposite effect on your relationship
and it could go haywire.
Your follow Up
The process of getting a deal doesn’t just
end with the meeting. You need to follow
up your prospects by sending them
mails, sometimes calling them. But once
again overdoing this could mean misery to
you as it would give away your desperation
which isn’t intended.
