2. Friedel Field Hockey Test
This test was proposed by Jean E Friedel in 1956.
It a single item test for high school girls which she
called “ Pass receiving, fielding and drive while
moving”.
3. Test Area
A test Area is necessary as shown in
the figure.

4. Procedure
There are 10 trials from each side, right and left.
Each trial is timed with a stop watch.
The subject moves forward from behind the starting
line on the signals READY and GO and at the same
time the ball is rolled form the right/left corner
toward the target area.
The subject receive the pass in the target area and
dribbles to the end line.
5. Procedure
Once he touches the end line he reverses his
direction and drive the ball back to the starting line.
If the ball is not driven hard enough to reach the
starting line, the subject must follow up the drive.
Time is terminated when the ball crosses the starting
line.
