The only thing you can be sure of, is that users do not know what they want. So you have to ask the right questions in order to understand what they want.You have to use intelligence and human understanding. Originally it was A, B, C etc., but people typed so fast that the mechanical character arms got tangled up, so the keys were randomly positioned to actually slow down typing and prevent key jams. – That is the reason for the Qwerty keyboard – it is not optimized for usersJ
