characteristics of the phenomenon, subject or
population to be studied.
• EXPLORATORY RESEARCH: The
exploratory research consists in providing
a general reference of the subject, often
unknown, present in the research to be
carried out.
14. APPROACHES OF RESEARCH
Qualitative approach is a method that seeks answers to questions
and involves the collection of evidence.
Quantitative approach emphasize objective measurements and the
statistical, mathematical, or numerical analysis of data collected
through polls, questionnaires, and surveys, or by manipulating pre-
existing statistical data using computational techniques.
Mixed approach The basic premise of this methodology is that such
integration permits a more complete and synergistic utilization of data
than do separate quantitative and qualitative data collection and
analysis.
15. SUBJECTS AND SOURCES OF
INFORMATION
Subjects
The subjects are who the people are objects of study, it is
also known as population or universe.
Sources of information
• Primary sources or primary data is data that is generated
by a researcher.
• A secondary source under investigation is data that the
researcher does not generate.
16. POPULATION AND SAMPLE
Population is the total set of individuals,
objects or measures that have some
common characteristics observable in a
place and at a specific time.
Sample is a sub set that is faithfully
representative of the population.

been at Llama del Bosque school since
preschool, have better level than the
others, showing large vocabulary and they

the success of teaching and leveling in
any educational area.

36. PROPOSAL OF AN ADAPTATION OF
THE REGULAR ENGLISH PLAN FOR
4TH GRADERS FOR STUDENTS
WITH LOW ENGLISH
PERFORMANCE
37. GENERAL OBJECTIVE OF THE
PROPOSAL
To create an alternative strategy to adapt the
objectives for the annual plan for the fourth
grade in Centro Bilingüe Educativo Llama
del Bosque, 2019
38. SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
• To develop a set of activities that suit students
with little or no previous knowledge in the
English language.
• To use effective techniques for the leveling of
students in the area of English.
• To bring strategies to teachers and students to
give continuity to language objectives in a
meaningful way.
39. DEVELOPMENT OF THE PROPOSAL
The Proposal begins by analyzing the
teaching experiences on the conditions in
which a student is received from public
schools and have done to face the
unevenness that this represents.
40. COMPREHENSION OF THE
ENVIRONMENT IN WHERE STUDENTS
WITH DIFFERENT LEVELS ARE
INVOLVED
The first part of the development of the
project is the observation of the educational
context and how the lessons are developed.
41. SELECTING THE TOPICS FOR THE
MANUAL
The second part of the project is developed
starting from the grammatical themes of the
annual plan and developing objectives that
adapt to the possibilities of knowledge of the
students.
A practical approach to the objectives is
made by differentiating the capacities to
produce and recognize, and trying to unify
objectives for the end of the course.
42. DESIGN OF STRATEGIES FOR
ADAPTING THE REGULAR MANUAL FOR
THE NEW POPULATION
With the established objectives, we proceed to
establish the practices focused on the different
objectives that seek to establish the scope of the
objectives that can be used in all the students.
Practices are divided into low and high difficulty
according to the objectives and are applied with a
monthly plan within an annual plan.
43. DEVELOPMENT OF THE MANUAL
The Plan produced is annual and contains different
objectives for students who do not have the
required knowledge in the area of English,
however the subject and the development of the
lesson is the same and all students participate in
the activities in the same way.
44. DEVELOPMENT OF THE MANUAL
The plan has many annexes of the same subject
but with different difficulties, this in order to level
the students without the others falling back and
being able to join the subject successfully.
The document has ideas and teaching methods
suitable to face the challenge of the teacher to
level a student in an advanced classroom.

46. SWOT ANALYSIS
STRENGTH
It is very useful both for teachers and for students,
since it facilitates meaningful learning and helps to
guide the educational process in an effective way,
also presents activities that allow the participation
of all students regardless of the level of language
they present.
47. SWOT ANALYSIS
WEAKNESSES
The attitude, the bad disposition and the fear of the
students can be mentioned as a weakness that
usually appears in students who unknowingly face
a bilingual class.
There is no guarantee that the program will be
beneficial for all students, nor that all teachers can
handle flexibility in the same way, since many
factors can affect the process.
48. SWOT ANALYSIS
OPPORTUNITIES
The main opportunity of this project is to provide
the opportunity for other teachers to modify it if
they wish to be applied in other subjects, grades or
objectives, taking into account the number of
bilingual centers in Costa Rica.
It also provides the opportunity to expand the plan
to adapt it according to the level and learning
capacity of the students, which creates the
possibility of creating different plans for different
levels.
49. SWOT ANALYSIS
THREATS
The disposition of the students and the teacher is
a factor that must be taken into account.
Most times the education focuses on the attitudes
of the student, but it is not always the student that
of the bad attitude, many times the teachers refuse
to accept students that generate educational
challenges and, this marks a precedent in the
educational trait and limits the success in the
acquisition of language.
50. IMPACTS OF THE PROPOSAL
• It can be determined that this proposal can be a
beneficial tool for all the teachers who work in
private educational centers and who receive
students from public educational centers that
come to be leveled from very poor bases.
• This can be effective for students to gain
confidence and improve day by day with
adequate guidance to meet the educational
needs of any student.

indigenous students of magister university
• Leveling plan for foreign students with low
academic level
